I have always been a huge fan of the game of Taylor Wold Taylor Wold 5'9" | S Arrowhead | 2027 State WI .  She plays the game with speed, urgency, but yet she is under control.  Sting 17 Gold is going to be a court to watch right from the start of this 2026 season.  They have plenty of athletes who are still unsigned that could go quickly this winter.  Wold can fit in an offensive scheme that could be a 5-1 or 6-2.  She is going to fit and compete where it will elevate her side of the net.

Taylor Wold Taylor Wold 5'9" | S Arrowhead | 2027 State WI has always been a really dynamic athlete where she finds ways to get it done as a setter.  She can play in whatever system her team needs.  I have seen her play in a 6-2, I’ve seen her run the show with a 5-1 and she is a pure playmaker.  Her Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold team has had a huge month where they took home the Gold Rush title at Boiler Juniors and the 17/18 Club Division at the Grand Slam.  They are carrying plenty of momentum at just the right time.  Wold preps at Arrowhead High School who is always a powerhouse in the suburban Milwaukee area. 

Taylor is the definition of a gritty athlete. She isn’t afraid to throw herself across the court to get the job done. Her determination and sheer resilience keep the ball alive time and time again. When she is on the court, the team’s energy is always high. Taylor has a way of connecting with her teammates as a leader and does it all while doling out masterful sets and picking up key digs on defense.

Taylor is both an emotional and physical leader for her teams. She brings energy, confidence, and focus. She gives everything when she is on the court and leads by example. Taylor runs her offense seamlessly and keeps all of her hitters involved.

We have a bit of a run of talented setters here and Taylor is absolutely one of them. She recently led her Sting 15 Black team to a 3rd place finish at nationals and (I believe) was named to the All Tournament Team. Taylor is an energizer and leader on the court. Her intangibles are just as valuable as her physical play.

Taylor is a setter with a lot of experience, even though she is just finishing up her freshman year. She is no stranger to pressure on the court, and she handles it very well. Taylor plays with a lot of grit and will do everything she can to better the ball. She has awesome court awareness and is very smart with her decisions.
