<p>This past weekend was the culminating tournament for the CEVA season and PrepDig was lucky enough to be in attendance! We had a chance to catch some stellar volleyball and took note of players that impressed. </p>

<p>While it was not possible to watch every team and athlete, we were able to see a ton of athletes in action, placing priority on teams playing in Open and in the top 10 of the 16U division. </p>

Trees brought a tough jump float serve from the baseline, notching multiple aces in a row throughout the tournament. Trees also made many good defensive touches and played steady serve receive. Grace brought a great jump float serve, moving the ball around well. Sanchez played great defense off some really tough attacks, putting up playable balls well and keeping the ball alive. Jespersen is super quick on defense, disciplined and steady on serve receive, and effective from the baseline with a well-placed jump float serve. Bhaskar was very steady on serve receive, moving well to get her platform under each ball and making passes off tough serves. Mattson brought a super aggressive jump float serve. Ginter played a lot in serve receive, and it makes sense why: Ginter is an incredibly skilled and consistent serve receive passer, putting up nearly perfect passes off most serves that come her way. Tuioti has great hands and makes strong out-of-system sets when taking the second ball. She is an incredibly athletic and quick player, making plays that seem nearly impossible.
