Familiar Names to Watch at the Prep Dig Midwest Live Showcase

This event will feature some of the top volleyball prospects from Iowa and beyond. We're gearing up for a good one.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'll be covering this event as the "Nebraska guy" with much learning to do about Iowa's prep prospects. However, I've still seen some familiar names on this showcase's entry list. She competes on the club side with MVP United, placing Boeve in the Great Plains Region alongside all her Nebraska neighbors. We saw this high-flying middle blocker dominate the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament in an unconventional way. Boeve is a rare six-rotation middle who will also pass and play defense for MVP. Derrer carries the torch for Davenport Assumption and has been an influential player in the Iowa Select gym. I have fond memories of watching Derrer lock down the net with her extraordinary physicality and high contact point. This 2026 middle blocker is also developing a diverse route repertoire that can allow her to score from anywhere. Groeteke has been a persistent standout with PowerPlex and also brings a ton of state championship experience with Dowling High School. Her effortless elevation gives her a large attacking window on the right side. Perhaps that's because she has been a top performer at other Prep Dig Showcase events--including my last trip to the Des Moines area. Ouellette's quick arm will capture your attention, but she also offers ball control prowess that you'd want from your left-side hitter. She has seen action as an attacker on both pins, but that's not the full extent of Vogt's range. Her primary position is at setter, where she has state championship experience and a wealth of leadership qualities. Vogt is a masterful distributor who will also put exceptional effort into her floor defense. I've run into this club's top 15s squad several times this year, and Miller has consistently excelled at the setter spot. She can adapt to any system and has seen plenty of elite competition in 2024. She's a long, fluid attacker who has paved the way for some of Six Pack's best moments in the 2024 season. It's easy to get caught up in Rogers' terminal arm in the frontcourt, but she's also willing to be a true all-around asset in any lineup. Rogers can go pass-to-attack and even establish her dominance from the pipe.
