Prep Dig Minnesota released an update of the 2026 rankings this week. Around 100 players made the ranks and many of them could be leaving their mark on the prep scene. Currently, the number one recruit out of the 2026 class is a middle blocker and there are plenty of promising middles making an impact this club season. Here's a closer look at some middles you should keep an eye on.

This 6'2 middle is an impressive blocker that has been elevating her offense over the past year. She is running multiple routes and I love her fast footwork. Worwa is finding the split in the block and exposing the open court. She can also use the opposing blocker's hands for an instant point.

Hertaus has decent size approaching 6'0 and she is using her length and foot speed to take advantage on the club scene. She's very athletic and quick to compliment the explosive jumping ability and long reach. I love watching her adjust in her routes or help put up a booming block.

I haven't seen as much of Kemper but what I have seen is that when she starts her armswing it almost takes off on its own. She has a really fast snap on top of the ball and does a really nice job of finding the split in the block. I like her footwork in transition as she makes herself available as an attacker. She will be super dangerous on the offensive side of the ball as she finds more attack routes. Her blocking is defenitely giving opposing attackers anxiety this season so far.

I've gotten to see Leaf a few times in different arenas. She made her presence known at the X last fall but I've also seen her a couple times this club season and she really is a big piece to her Crossfire team. Leaf is a go-to on the attack and she is a fierce competitor that simply won't quit. I heard a number of times the opposing team calling out her number so everyone could keep track of her as the primary weapon. And for good reason.
