Great Plains Region Preview for 15 American and Freedom Divisions

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rounding out previews of USAV Nationals, let's take a look at the American and Freedom Divisions. Representing the Great Plains Region is South Central 15 Black in the American Division and Premier 15 Red in the Freedom Division. Both these teams have played each other during the season and are 1-1 versus each other.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are some players to keep an eye on in Las Vegas. South Central 15 Black which is comprised of smaller school and town talent:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='591588' first='Ava' last='Katzberg'] from Adams Central High School has a heavy arm. She swings well from behind the setter either on the opposite pin or on the slide. She does a great job of hitting down the line when she swings from the opposite pin. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To go along with a 1-2 punch, is outside [player_tooltip player_id='591554' first='Cayle' last='Grossart'] who just finished a breakout freshman year for the Central Valley Cougars is  a strong pin hitter. She is able to find ways to get kills whether it is a tool off the block or high deep court shot. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ball control will be vital for 15 Black to get the ball to Katzberg and Grossart. Those two can side out quickly and get 15 Black on a run and be hard to beat in the Freedom Division. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Premier 15 Red heads into Nationals with a 38-18 record on the club season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>5'9” Middle [player_tooltip player_id='521183' first='Lauren' last='Eck'] has a high ceiling. She has a strong swing and continues to get stronger. Eck does a great job of finding the ball and doing a quick two step and swing approach. Another strong attribute of hers is the ability to get on top of the ball and has good net and court awareness.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another middle, Averi Webster is a middle with some serious hops! She jumps so well and has a fast arm swing. Webster does a nice job of planting and behind her setter and hitting the quick ball. She also has great court awareness and is not afraid to push a ball to the deep corners. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Setter [player_tooltip player_id='521180' first='Drew' last='Schnabel'] has quick feet and does a great job of squaring to her hitters. She is also strong to get balls out to the pins from wherever on the court. Schnabel has soft hands and is workman like distributing the ball across the net.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Libero [player_tooltip player_id='499010' first='Bailey' last='Ferguson'] is a ball of fire and vacuums up anything that comes her way. She is relentless with her floor defense and reads her hitters well. Her footwork is very good moving laterally or front to back. Ferguson has a nice platform and finishes plays.
