The Class of 2025 is wrapping up its club season and now looking toward being the leaders of their respective prep programs in the fall of 2024. It's an exciting time for the class as we jump into our June Prospect Roulette.

Here's how it works: I'll pop up a random number generator that includes the 2025 rankings. I'll generate 10 numbers and the 10 that come up will be the ranking of the player. I'll then spotlight those players in the article to help give them some more attention.

There's 150 players ranked in our Class of 2025. Let's see who has the lucky numbers this month:

106. [player_tooltip player_id='288962' first='Kathleen' last='Nelson'], S/RS Lakeland/Team Detroit

Nelson is a good energy player that is going to give all she has to make a play. She works hard in all phases of the game and has shown the ability to make some impressive digs to keep a point alive. She's also improving on her setting ability, while developing new dimensions to her swing. Nelson has the athleticism to be a takeover player, she just needs to find her consistency.

19. [player_tooltip player_id='156301' first='Elyse' last='Heffner'], MH/OH TC Central/FaR Out

A South Alabama commit, Heffner is one of the real shining stars from Northern Michigan. She's able to play anywhere along the net and finish at a high rate. The 6'1” Heffner battles hard at the net and tends to win most of the 50-50 matchups. She's got big power when in-system, but has learned to adjust well with out-of-system swings. Heffner has improved her overall awareness, making her a more consistent finisher.

87. [player_tooltip player_id='236712' first='Chelsea' last='Pearce'], DS/L Mattawan

Pearce was part of a deep Mattawan defense, but she really came on toward the end of the season to be one of the team's stronger assets. She shows a lot of quickness in the back row, but also is able to get herself into position to apply great form. Pearce works hard and wants to raise her game to the next level. This fall should provide her an opportunity to do so.

117. [player_tooltip player_id='156315' first='Laura' last='Mabrey'], DS/L Mt. Morris

Mabrey has been a reliable member of the Mt. Morris squad. A small team in roster number, Mabrey has shouldered a lot of the defensive load for the program. She's been a big reason the team has been able to make deep postseason runs in Division 2 in recent years. Mabrey has great instincts in the back row and is willing to put her body on the line to make the necessary play.

47. [player_tooltip player_id='288961' first='Mallory' last='McFarlane'], DS/L Saline/Michigan Elite

A run on defenders continues with McFarlane, another promising player in the back row to come out of the Saline program. She is coming off a great year where she got to showcase her skill level and compete against some of the best hitters in the state. McFarlane shows a lot of confidence and determination on the floor. She stays engaged with her teammates and never gets caught flat-footed.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='156293' first='Ella' last='Craggs'], S Northville/Michigan Elite

There's not much more that needs to be said about Craggs that we haven't said already. Her ranking speaks for itself as she's proven herself to not only be one of the best setters in the state, but in the Midwest. The Illinois State commit has complete control of her offense and can vary speeds and locations with ease. She brings the best out of her hitters while also being a defensive asset for her teams.

53. [player_tooltip player_id='473954' first='Ava' last='Barnes'], S Brown City/Legacy

Barnes has built her way up to being one of the top players in the Thumb area, which has quickly become a talent-heavy area in Michigan. She's a well-rounded prospect with a lot of good instincts. She makes the setter position look effortless at times and isn't afraid to be aggressive and get in on the offense herself. She tends to play one step ahead of her opponents.

35. [player_tooltip player_id='288960' first='Reese' last='Lowe'], OH Byron Center/FaR Out

A Ferris State commit, Lowe is a hitter that can catch a hot streak and take over a match. Her approach to the net and power behind her swing show a lot of consistency, which allows her to fight through defenses with relative ease. Lowe has improved a lot of her out-of-system swings as well, showing her craftiness with offspeed plays.

65. [player_tooltip player_id='487136' first='Kylie' last='Anderson'], S Mattawan/FaR Out

Anderson has built herself up a nice club season and that is going to lead to some big things this fall for Mattawan. She's improved a lot in her command and leadership on the floor, and just has a much better feel for the offense right now. Her smooth touch and ability to mix up tempos is leading to some great swings out of her hitters. Her defensive play as also made big strides, allowing her to become a more complete player.

138. [player_tooltip player_id='156336' first='Lucy' last='VanDrunen'], OH GR Christian/MVA

VanDrunen is a player that Grand Rapid Christian turned to at times throughout the 2023 prep season and she was able to put down some timely kills. She's able to attack from both pins and does a good job with her arm speed. She feeds well off the energy of her teammates and can provide a nice momentum-swinging attack. Improvement in her timing and consistency will be the key for her to raise her game to another level this fall.
