The Class of 2027 has a lot of talent that have been doing big things on the national scene during the club season.

While some of them still have yet to get a chance to shine on the prep level, those days are soon approaching with the 2024 season not far off.

We have 20 players ranked in the Class of 2027, but the Watch List is full of players that could go on to reach the next level.

Here's a look at a handful of those Watch List players and what they are bringing to the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='470031' first='Avery' last='Kapeller'], OH Orchard Lake St. Mary's/High Performance

There's a lot to like about Kapeller's play to end the club season. She has grown a lot as a player, getting a lot of opportunities with High Performance. The 6-footer moves really well and has a technically smooth swing. What has been good to see from her is her mixing up her locations really well, while still getting aggressive swings. She is finding the opening in the defense and can get the ball there quickly. Her back-row attacks are also scoring, adding another piece to her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'], DS/L Orchard Lake St. Mary's/High Performance

Kapeller can be a dig machine. She stays light on her feet and can cover a lot of space. She's long, but still does a good job of getting low to the ground to dig up tough attacks. Her instincts are good as well, as she is able to time out her sprawls and dives well to make a clean pass. As she gets more reps against high-profile hitters, it should take her game to another level and allow her to play with even more confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='490378' first='Zoey' last='Klunder'], DS/L GR Christian/MVA

Klunder has been a valuable asset for Rise Academy this club season. She's been able to showcase a full range of skills as a primary defender. She doesn't waste a lot of energy taking unnecessary steps. Her footwork is concise and with purpose. Her serve receive always looks composed and she gets squared up nicely to the ball. She also has shown the ability to put a good set on the ball when the team is out-of-system. She recognizes quickly when to step up and make sure her hitters get a good swing.

[player_tooltip player_id='442979' first='Evelyn' last='Koss'], DS/L St. Clair/Infinity

Koss plays with active eyes and makes sure to look the ball into her arms for an accurate pass, whether that's digging up an attack or on serve receive. Even when she can't get squared up to the ball, she gets her arms in a place to make a clean pass. Koss covers a lot of space on the floor and doesn't get lost when the speed of the game picks up.

[player_tooltip player_id='523855' first='Haylee' last='Kubec'], MH Greenville/MVA

This 6-foot middle has worked hard to develop new aspects of her game. Her slide attacks are getting better and better. When in the middle, Kubec has a simple and compact swing, but it generates a surprising amount of power, and she has managed to bring the ball down at sharp angles. Her recognition at the net has also improved, as she's worked in more successful offspeed adjustments as the club season has gone along.

[player_tooltip player_id='523860' first='Chloe' last='Kunter'], S Northview/MVA

Kunter is a great energy player that embraces the leadership role of a setter. She makes a lot of smooth deliveries and gives her outsides great looks at the net. Her connections with her middles has been getting quicker and quicker, as she feeds off their aggressive swings. Kunter can pump up anyone on her team and that seems to be why her hitters have been showing a lot of improvement.

[player_tooltip player_id='442980' first='Gabby' last='Lavoie'], DS/L Northville/Michigan Elite

Another great defensive prospect from the Northville, Lavoie has the chance to really branch out in the years ahead. She shows good awareness of placement on the court and when the ball is going out or staying in. She squares herself up often when facing big attacks and makes some of her digs looks quite effortless.

[player_tooltip player_id='454367' first='Isabelle' last='Lawhorn'], OH/RS Lake Orion/Legacy

Lawhorn is a 6-foot hitter that already has some good experience at the varsity level under her belt. She's got a very high ceiling, as her defensive play is already in a good spot for being a primary hitter at this age level. Lawhorn's first contact and ability to shift into an attacker are impressive. Her talent allows her to still score even when she doesn't get the best swing. As she finds consistency in her power swings, Lawhorn is going to be difficult to stop.
