The Class of 2027 was the most represented during Sunday's Michigan Stock Up Showcase in Pontiac.

It was a talented group, full of a lot of hungry players that wanted to leave a lasting impression.

We will be going through all the prospects throughout the week with a series of player evaluations.

Let's keep things going with a collection of players in Part 5.

[player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'], MH Roscommon/CM Elite

Carper, a near 6-foot middle out of Northern Michigan, looks like she could be among the names to watch in this class. This was a good showcase for her to get recognition in the area, as she displayed that she's got a powerful swing. When Carper got a clean look, she put the ball away with authority. As she's able to put away more balls when up against a tough block, it will take her game to another level.

[player_tooltip player_id='523863' first='Willow' last='Mason'], RS Heritage/Five:1

Mason showed she can get as much air as nearly anyone in this showcase. She vaulted off the floor at times, so much so it made it difficult for setters to find her sweet spot because she was so explosive. Mason has an athletic swing as well, generating a lot of pop off the ball. When she really hones it in, she was tough to stop.

[player_tooltip player_id='523848' first='Nicole' last='McDowell'], OH Notre Dame Prep/Legacy

McDowell wasn't afraid to request the ball, which was good to see from the young hitter. Some of these prospects were a little apprehensive when they should have been comfortable being aggressive. McDowell tried to take charge and showed good leadership skills. As a hitter, her power was right up there with the top hitters in the showcase. She put down a few that turned heads.

[player_tooltip player_id='586768' first='Izzy' last='Lawhorn'], OH Lake Orion/Legacy

Lawhorn is a well-coached outside that has a pedigree of family success helping her. The 6'1” outside moves well and makes a lot of good choices on the floor. She's very aware of when she needs to dial up her intensity, but also keeps herself in control to make the smart play when a big swing isn't there. When Lawhorn does get a clean look at the net, she's going to put down a ball that will be hard to dig up.

[player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke'], OH GR Christian/FaR Out

One of the top hitters in the showcase, Goodyke already has a lot of big-match experience. That allows her to play like a seasoned veteran in this high-profile situations. For being 6'1”, Goodyke is very light on her feet and agile. She also can adjust very well while approaching the net. She sees defenders well and can recognize the open space on the floor. She's just a polished outside that is going to keep getting better.”

[player_tooltip player_id='586766' first='Catie' last='Kuchta'], DS/L Mercy/High Performance

Kuchta looks to be a good effort player, which isn't surprising coming from the CHSL. She puts her all into each rep and each opportunity. That translates into her serving game, as well as her defensive play. She covers a lot of ground and times up her dives and sprawls well to get an accurate pass to her setters. Kuchta also communicates well and directs traffic effectively in a hectic back row.

[player_tooltip player_id='454358' first='Lily' last='Tripi'], S/RS Eisenhower/Michigan Elite

Tripi was one of the top setter/hitter combos at the showcase. She's a 6'1” setter with a lot of agility and a technically smooth swing. Tripi looks very in control on the court. She knows how to direct the offense but also is confident in her ability to run offense effectively. Tripi is coming off an injury in the fall, but she looks like she's bounced back in a big way. She's going to impact the game for her team in all phases.

[player_tooltip player_id='534728' first='Ashlyn' last='Charder'], OH Milford/L2

Charder doesn't have to have a big wind up to generate good pop on the ball, which allowed her to confuse blockers and also be able to quickly switch to an offspeed attack. When she wanted to dial up the aggressive, she showed he explosiveness at the net with a fast arm while taking on some sharp attack angles. Charder brought good energy to the floor as well, boosting the play of her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='490050' first='Micah' last='Harris'], DS/L South Lyon East/Club Xtreme

Harris looks to have improved on her consistency in the last year. Her serve receive was looking strong and her passes were accurate and easy for her setters to get to. Harris always looks locked into her technique when getting set to take on a serve or an attack. She stays light on her feet and is able to look the ball in while staying squared up.
