Positional-based articles are ways that we can feature kids that haven't received the kind of publicity they've earned or deserved. Here are five setters that are still available from the class of '25 that are fully capable of being on a college roster at this time next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='173245' first='Isabelle' last='Brown'], 5-9, Avon

A workhorse of a setter, Miss Brown is a full-go and no-quit quarterback of the offense. She understands that she's responsible for every second contact, and will go through walls to get it. Her constant motor, coupled with open-level skills, make her an indispensable part of the Oriole squad, and I would not be surprised if she were named MVP at the end of this fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id='435484' first='Kyla' last='Coolman'], 5-10, Penn

Kyla has attended multiple showcases of ours before, and was always in the top end of skills, leadership qualities and athleticism. As the daughter of a basketball coach, she understands that the glory never happens without the work, and "gymrat" would be an understatement for her type of athlete. As THE setter for the inaugural Pineapple High Performance team, she'll see plenty of high-level ball and, with a little luck, a few offers come her way.

[player_tooltip player_id='154812' first='Kaitlyn' last='Kuckkan'], 5-7, Lafayette Central Catholic

Already owning multiple all-state honors in two different classes, Kaitlyn is from a volleyball family that understands hard work, dedication and relentlessness on the court to earn wins. She'll also be the setter for this year's LCC team, one of the favorites to compete at Worthen Arena for a state title AGAIN. In short, Miss Kuckkan plays hard, trains hard and earns every single thing that comes her way.

[player_tooltip player_id='172315' first='Reese' last='Edwards'], 5-6, Columbus North

With fast feet and consistent hands, Miss Edwards is a reliable setter in an area where not every setter is reliable. Reese is quick and accurate, and would fit in perfectly as part of a 6-2 at the next level. As part of a setting duo for the Bulldogs, I'll have a chance to see this squad up close a couple of times this fall. With the number of attackers she'll have at her disposal, she should have a fun and fulfilling senior year at CN.

[player_tooltip player_id='172314' first='Briana' last='DeJesus'], 5-6, Crown Point

Bri is the second 6-2 Bulldog pairing on this list, but with different skills than Miss Edwards above. As athletic an undersized setter that Miss DeJesus is, you can hardly tell that she's the height that she is. She can go get the tight passes like a bigger setter, and can chase down errant passes better than most of the bigger setters in northern Indiana. That regional final loss to LaPorte should be the fuel that fires the engine of this program, and I look forward to big things from Bri and her fellow Bulldogs.
