Illinois Stock Up All Showcase Team

She never gave up on the ball and was a powerhouse athlete throughout the showcase. Maizy is a competitor and played every point with intensity and grit. She is explosive and powerful on every swing. Her placement and shots are also very impressive. She was aggressive on every ball and never backed down on block or offense. When we were in scrimmage play, she bounced a ball 10' line over a double block. She looks even better than when I saw her play at the Gauntlet in June. She fed her hitters consistently great balls and had a smooth and disciplined jump set. Jordyn also took some nice swings on the ball and always seemed to be exactly where she was needed. She caught my eye during middle positional work when she was consistently taking rips on the ball. She was one of the middles running the cleanest slides and was fun to watch in hitting lines. She took every free ball that came over the net and anticipated the ball extremely well. When she was on the court you could tell she was in charge of the back row, and she did a great job at it. She is a lefty, right-side hitter who can take big rips on the ball and is a naturally talented blocker. But she also excels in serve and pass and has a great platform.
