Impact Setters from the Illinois Stock Up Showcase

The setters did such an awesome job at the Illinois Showcase. I was very impressed with how savvy yet consistent they were. Here is a look at some of the top setters from the Showcase.    [player_tooltip player_id='483418' first='Julia' last='Adams'] was one of the cleanest setters at the event. She was quick and precise with her movement and put up dime sets time and time again. She was disciplined in her footwork and made smart choices with her sets.     Lainey absolutely wowed me. She was a leader on the court and took control of the offense in whatever drill she was in. She had this ability to connect with her hitters, which is so tough to do when you've only just met them. She is a player to watch in this class.     Kaitlyn caught my eye because she spread her offense. Her good form and clean hands allowed her to be crafty with her decisions. She kept all of her hitters involved and moved the ball around quickly and efficiently.     Maddie was impressive to watch at the Showcase. She is a setter that has the potential to be a high-level 5-1 athlete. She moved quickly to the ball, was great in defense, and always found ways to better the ball for her team.     Lexi is quick and scrappy on the court. I saw her make some great defensive pick ups in game play and she worked really hard on every repetition and play as a setter. She was fun to watch, especially once we started scrimmaging and she was able to lead an offense.     Speed is the name of the game for Brianna. She is quick in everything she does, from her reaction time to her footwork to her actual setting the ball. She has clean, precise sets that are incredibly consistent no matter where she is on teh court.     Mia impressed me with her all around play. Time and time again she caught my eye. From her great connections with whichever hitters were around her to her positive demeanor on the court, Mia did it all. Her intangibles really set her apart.     I really liked how Chloe ran the court. She was disciplined and communicated very well. She had a lot of control over the pace of the game and clearly is a player with a lot of competitive experience.     Laine was such an impact player during scrimmage play. She fed her hitters like she had playing with them for years - even having some stud connections with the middle on her court. She was an absolute gamer and was clearly having a blast working her craft as a setter.     Ella is such a scrappy setter. She is athletic and has a great vertical. She saved several near-over passes with quick, one-handed sets to keep the ball on her side. She impressed me in all of those little moments during games where plays could go wrong, but Ella helped turn them into productive points for her team.     Abby's ball control is what caught my eye. She has great form and very sound fundamentals. She was a solid passer as well and just consistently played at a high level throughout the Showcase.
