Below are some of the players who were added to the class of 2026 rankings. [player_tooltip player_id='555602' first='Bryah' last='Breaux'] actually was ranked last year but dropped off the rankings due to a technical glitch. On occasion, if you show the state of Maryland as your home state on your profile the file will not go to the rankings identified as Virginia. An easy fix if you noticed your daughter dropping off the rankings.

Dylann bolts to number 40 in our newcomer rankings. She should have been included in our last ranking but she was playing a year down and I overlooked her. She hits the middle well.

At the Junior Nationals it appeared she sprained her ankle before I could see her play. While the team played well during her absence, they could have done so much better with her offensive production in the middle.

Next year for club I would like to see her play her age. She certainly brings the skill level to play at a top level. At 6'2" she also brings the height.

Aniah charges in at number 75 in our new rankings. [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] used her as one of their main pin hitters at the Junior Nationals, usually hitting her from the right side. She put a number of balls away. [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] did not lose a match until the first round of the gold bracket match.

For Oxon Hill she ranked second in kills and first in blocks. While I did not see her do any passing at the Junior Nationals, for Oxon Hill she ranks third on the team in serve reception.

[player_tooltip player_id='572040' first='Morgan' last='Vanderwagen'] MB (Atholton/Maryland Jrs) - Morgan debuts at number 88. Morgan has some height at 6'1". She goes to the same high school as her setter [player_tooltip player_id='572041' first='Katelyn' last='Brown'], who also made a debut in our 2026 rankings. She put up a number of blocks in the match that I watched in the Freedom Division at Junior Nationals. In a third set that they would win 15-13 she produced two blocks and a kill to put them ahead 13-11. Last year for Atholton she did not get a lot of opportunities to play. While they return a number of players from the team last year, with Morgan's improved play she should make a greater contribution.

Lana stood out at the Patriot Division in Junior Nationals to appear at 102 in our rankings. She also appeared at our showcase where she earned a top performer award. At both events she shows no fear at taking hard swings at the ball.

Holton-Arms plays in the Independent Schools League with Flint Hill, Bullis and Georgetown Day. They play in the lower level "A" League so they do not really compete against the higher level AA teams. For Lana she should dominate at the "A" level.

To improve her game to rise higher in the rankings she will need to up the competition level. Contributing to a Holton-Arms "A" level championship would be a start.

[player_tooltip player_id='539413' first='Angie' last='Sun'] DS/L (McLean/MOJO) - Angie debuts at number 106 in our rankings. At the Spooky Nook tournament she shared the libero spotlight with [player_tooltip player_id='530364' first='Caroline' last='Apergis'] to lead MOJO to a second place finish. Normally, when two liberos share a court it is difficult to rank them since their plays are limited by the court sharing. In this tournament any time either girl was on the floor she proved impactful to the game, whether it was for her true passes, or her diving sprawls on defense.

Allison slipped into the number 130 slot in our new rankings. Allison brings a quiet platform to her passing. She also appears to play an excellent base on defense, where she is always seems to be squared where the ball is hit.

Last year Allison played for First Colonial. They won the Class 5 Virginia state championship with libero Kayla Foley named as the MVP. Now that Kaley has graduated it is time for Allison to take over the position. Overall, she was sixth on her team in digging. Increased responsibility will lead to greater exposure.

[player_tooltip player_id='572043' first='Journey' last='Gardner'] OH (Bishop McNamara/Virginia Jrs) - Journey finds her path begins in our rankings at number 143. Journey has a left handed swing for the right side. She produced a couple nice blocks at the Junior Nationals in Las Vegas. For Bishop McNamara she rosters as a setter but she did not get a lot of playing opportunity last year. This coming year could be her year for the Mustangs.

A second Atholton high player to make her debut in our 2026 rankings beginning at number 145. Katelyn (pictured above) set a 5/1 for Maryland Jrs at the Junior Nationals. She has sweet hands for dishing the ball out, which she showed off at the Showcase.

At 5'5" her height is a challenge for the front row. The fact that the coach still has her set there is a testament to the confidence they have in her ability to run the offense.

81. [player_tooltip player_id='517814' first='Ashley' last='Grace Johnstone'] OH (Collegiate School/[program_tooltip program_id='498495' first='Richmond' last='Volleyball Club']) - I have not seen her play but the video in her profile shows a player who can put the ball away from the left side. She also appears to play six rotations with a nice platform for passing and the quickness for playing defense. At 5'11" she brings good height to the position.

121. [player_tooltip player_id='518167' first='Alexis' last='Broggin'] DS/L (Ocean Lakes/757 Volleyball Club) - At the Prep Dig stock up showcase she caught my eye with a couple nice digs and a smooth platform for passing.

124. [player_tooltip player_id='519180' first='Marian' last='Ratchford'] RS (Hickory/[program_tooltip program_id='450416' first='East' last='Coast Volleyball Club']) - Another player who I have not seen play yet but she stands 5'11" with good arm extension to put the ball away from the right side. She shows an approach jump of 9'6".

136. [player_tooltip player_id='521531' first='Natalie' last='Huck'] L/DS (Millbrook/[program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge']) - She made it as one of my ten players to watch at the Shamrock. She made some incredible defensive plays at the tournament. She will help Millbrook in the back row as they try to stop James Wood going for a trifecta in state championships.

137. [player_tooltip player_id='377330' first='Chloe' last='Lin'] OH (Langley/Virginia Jrs) - It may be tough to see some time at the left side for Langley, but her 5'10 height may make her useful in the middle or right side.

146. [player_tooltip player_id='475903' first='Avery' last='Byrnes'] MB (The Potomac School/Virginia Elite) - She brings the versatility to play left or right side. An ankle sprain limited her club season. At 5'11" she has good height.

152. [player_tooltip player_id='535101' first='Kamora' last='Mack'] S (Holton Arms/[program_tooltip program_id='498081' first='Loudoun' last='Elite']) - Saw her play at the Patriot Division in Junior Nationals at Las Vegas. She certainly brings enthusiasm to the game. Needs to work a little more on the consistency of her set location. At 5'8" an inch or two of growth may allow her more front row play.

160. [player_tooltip player_id='537117' first='Annika' last='Cortez'] OH (Lightridge/[program_tooltip program_id='498081' first='Loudoun' last='Elite']) - Another player I watched at the National Expo in Las Vegas. At 5'8" her height is undersized for a front row player so some growth is needed. She can put the ball away from the outside, but finding a little more velocity would be ideal. Lightridge loses their big outside hitter from last season so an opening exists on the outside.
