–

It may only be the second year of Prep Dig putting on the preseason Stock Up Showcase, but this was one for the books!

With over 100 athletes at the UWM Sport Complex on Sunday, the talent was insane! We had players from down the road, to across the state and even some from across the boarder! No matter where their origin, it curated an insanely fun afternoon of volleyball.

With my side of the coverage, I am going to be taking a look at some of the best of the best that the showcase had to offer. Breaking it down, position by position, we're going to start the Stock Up coverage by looking at the middles!

The middles at the Stock-Up was maybe one of the most stacked fields we have seen in quite some time at a Prep Dig Showcase. With big time players coming off of huge club seasons, it made the level of play so much higher than ever before! Let's take a look at some of the top middles at the Michigan Stock Up!

[player_tooltip player_id='310635' first='Taniya' last='Radden']

5'10 MB - Ottawa Hills/MVA

This player really goes about her game with a lot of speed. Whether it is her speed off of the ground or through the ball, when [player_tooltip player_id='310635' first='Taniya' last='Radden'] can get a hold of the ball, its almost always game over. Radden, despite her size, has a huge vert that really allows her to make some big plays at the net.

[player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot']

6'0 MB - West Bloomfield/Michigan Elite

This is a player that needs to be atop of everyone's radar. At ONLY 6'0, [player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'] may be one of the highest jumpers in the gym. Touching nearly 10'6 on a vert tester, there no questions that she can reach that and then some on Sunday. Alongside her leaping abilities, Agoot does such a great job scoring in front of the setter with her fast arm and wrist control. Agoot spent little time at the showcase inserting herself as one of the top overall players, let alone middles in the gym!

[player_tooltip player_id='442228' first='Avery' last='Thorp']

6'2 MB - Plainwell/FaR Out

[player_tooltip player_id='442228' first='Avery' last='Thorp'] was here last year for the freshman showcase and showed out! A year later, not much has changed. Thorp is still showing up and showing out! The big difference a year can make though is Thorp seems to have much more of a pop in her swing and more control of the net.

[player_tooltip player_id='490373' first='Kate' last='Colosky']

6'1 MB - Portage Central/FaR Out

I hadn't been able to see much of this player throughout the club season, so I really took the showcase to hone in on [player_tooltip player_id='490373' first='Kate' last='Colosky']. Needless to say, I was no disappointed! This player has some serious leaping abilities and can put the hammer down on a ball. The way Colosky can elevate and maneuver her attacks around the court is extremely impressive as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='464378' first='Ava' last='Bush-Nelson']

6'1 MB - Jenison/FaR Out

Whatever is in the water over at FaR Out, I want some! Alongside Thorp & Colosky, [player_tooltip player_id='464378' first='Ava' last='Bush-Nelson'] is another big time middle here at the Stock-Up. This player showed huge rumblings of superstardom last fall with Jenison, and if Sunday was any indication on what's to come for this fall. I would be prepared! Bush-Nelson is meaning business her sophomore year!

[player_tooltip player_id='490033' first='Christina' last='Rosenow']

6'1 MB - Romeo/Michigan Elite

There was a lot of Romeo running around on Sunday. [player_tooltip player_id='490033' first='Christina' last='Rosenow'] is easily one of their top players entering the 2024 season. This is a middle with a lot of potential to be the next big middle of the 2027 class. Rosenow has a a nice high swing on top of the ball and her block is super solid as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='523863' first='Willow' last='Mason']

5'10 MB - Hertiage/Five:1

When you realize that this is one of the fastest sprinters in all of Michigan, you really understand how [player_tooltip player_id='523863' first='Willow' last='Mason'] is so fast on the court. This player just oozes athleticism and with the right team, Mason could be one of the top players in the state as well. She's so explosive and so fast, when she can get down the timing with her setters, the ball is down and gone before the opposition has any time to process!

[player_tooltip player_id='523905' first='Madisyn' last='Bowman']

6'2 MB - Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite

Right when you thought Plymouth Christian might be out for the count this fall, I would like introduce you to [player_tooltip player_id='523905' first='Madisyn' last='Bowman']. Bowman is an absolute tank at the net. When she can get on top of the ball, Bowman may or may not have one of the hardest swings in the gym. She showcases a lot of versatility in the way she attacks and her blocking is really solid too!

[player_tooltip player_id='443000' first='Samantha' last='Monroe']

6'0 MB - Marian/L2

Nothing like coming off of a national championship during the club season. Yes, [player_tooltip player_id='443000' first='Samantha' last='Monroe'] was a part of that 15 Open AAU National Title in June, and she's really playing like it too! Monroe has a real solid net game. Her block is quite formidable and when it all goes right, Monroe can be a nasty point scorer as well through the middle.
