Clovis North Broncos

This squad has had a wonderful start to this season and it is due to some amazing ballers. Middle/Outside hitter Kennedy Lingenfelter has been hitting the ball at a very high clip this season out of serve receive. She also is running some pin routes too and this just shows her versatility. What truly stands out about her is her athleticism on the block. She closes the gap to the pins so fast and it almost seems as if she has an extra levitation gear that propels her up and over the net as she presses on the block. Junior right side Drew Schantz has also been a solid blocker on the opposite side. She plays very big and the team is a recipient of her slowing down opposing left side hitters. Senior setter Sofia Sanchez is moving the ball around quite well as she steers the ship of this offense. Her ability to locate for each route has been phenomenal. One of the senior captains of this squad is outside hitter Ava Rogers and she is showing her overall skills as she plays all six rotations. Her serving and serve receive have been great for the Broncos. Senior outside [player_tooltip player_id='501334' first='Makena' last='Sacks'] provides a lot of production for Clovis North. She communicates very well to her teammates and is always laser focused on the opponent. Junior libero Olivia Rogers moves around the court with both speed and agility as she tracks the ball. She also has a killer short zone serve. This team has scrapped its way to a 19-2 overall record and is poised to keep it going. They have a good shot to keep up their winning ways with awesome team play.

Pleasant Grove Eagles

So far sitting at 9-1 on the year, the Eagles of Pleasant Grove have started to make a name for themselves on the hardwood. They are being led by the golden arm of senior outside hitter Isis Castille, who leads them in scoring. The one good thing about this team is that they have a good core of players who are all contributing to the offensive game plan. By spreading the ball around to a lot of hitters, the defense cannot commit to one person. This makes it very difficult to stop them when you don't know where the ball is going in a given rally. Super athletic sophomore pin Elena Delmundo is a two-sport stud for Pleasant Grove and has been phenomenal on the stat sheet. She will be a standout for this school for the foreseeable future. The play out of the middle has really been the key for this squad. Both of their middles are hitting at a very high percentage. When you have efficiency hitting out of the middle, it really sets the tone for the offense and keeps the defense honest in staying at base a little while longer. This really allows your pins to have more one on one or split options while they attack. Senior Lillian Rix and Zoe Liebel are doing their job effectively. Senior pin Jordyn Bowman is another fantastic weapon for the Eagles offense. She is third in kills because of her amazing arsenal. Senior libero Stella Shepard is the back row floor general who is keeping this team in system with her digs and passes. But the main character who is delivering for all of these awesome hitters is junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='556117' first='Aubrey' last='Tripp']. Her play is one of the main reasons why this team is so hard to beat. She is using pinpoint location to feed her attackers well.
