Long-armed and springy, Celeste really showed out at the Freshman Showcase a month ago. She uses her length and jumping ability to regularly go over blocks. Additionally, she's tough to go against on defense BECAUSE of those long arms. With the footwork she currently has, she's probably an M2 at the next level, but there's a lot of time to go before any college decision needs to be made. For now, look for Miss Wiegman to continue to terminate in front of the setter.

Of the kids listed here today, none have a more solid skillset than Finley. Long-armed, high-jumping and fast, she can terminate in front of or behind the setter with ease, defends from pin to pin using her long legs, and has caught up to the training given to her at Circle. Mom is also a former Big Ten player, so you know the bloodline runs deep with talent.

Big and physical, Paityn comes from volleyball blue-blood Carroll and has fit right in as an immediate plug-and-play M2 in their system. I like the heavy ball she hits as well as the angles she attacks, as most kids her size and position merely hit in one direction. I'd like to see more club footage, but for now her skills project her to a high-level M2 at the next level.

Rachel makes this list because she's starting for the best 1A school in the state at Trinity Lutheran. Let me explain. In a four-set win over 4A powerhouse Center Grove, Rachel had 15 kills, 5 blocks and hit over .400, mostly matched up against Stanford-bound [player_tooltip player_id='173248' first='Reese' last='Dunkle']. She's a future D1 stud in volleyball from TL, and should be turning heads in the recruiting circles once club comes around in January.

Because of the depth of talent at HSE, Karleigh is currently laying waste to all freshman teams on her schedule. Her long arms make her look taller than her six foot frame would indicate, and has the speed and grace to terminate at this (or any) high level. I'm looking forward to her development next club season, as she made mince meat of the the freshmen at our showcase back in August.
