Southeast shook off an early two-set loss to the Crusaders to knock off a lifeless North squad coming off a tournament championship over the weekend.

Here is a report on five ranked prospects who had solid performances while Prep Dig was watching.

[player_tooltip player_id='261116' first='Rylie' last='Malget'], 5'11”, MB, Wichita Southeast, ‘25

Malget is currently ranked No. 107 in the Kansas Class of 2025. She had an all-around quality match against North. She finished with 13 digs, six kills, and four serve receptions. She had a big-time block in the third and deciding set. Malget has multiple offers from NAIA and JUCO programs in Kansas. She played with poise and came up with big rally-ending kills in the match. The senior hitter can hit from the middle or outside. She collected four digs and one kill in the lopsided loss to Kapaun Mt. Carmel.

[player_tooltip player_id='512040' first='Alina' last='Esparza Ramirez'], 5'0”, DS/L, Wichita Southeast, ‘26

Ramirez is currently ranked No. 85 in the Kansas Class of 2026. She is a high-energy libero I enjoy watching. I saw her first in a club tournament last December. She had a big defensive night for Southeast. In the win over North, she tallied seven digs and 18 serve receptions. She finished with five digs and 17 serve receptions against the Crusaders. She has a quiet platform, communicates well with teammates, and has a nice serve. She would make a solid libero for NAIA and JUCO programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='493491' first='Tori' last='Buss'], 5'9”, OH, Wichita North, ‘25

Buss is currently ranked No. 25 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. She collected 11 kills, eight digs, and 13 serve receptions in North's three-set loss. She is one of the higher uncommitted prospects in the Prep Dig rankings. She has had conversations with a Division II program. She is athletic and adjusted well to out-of-system balls during the match. She is a grinder who kept the Redhawks in the match despite the entire team playing flat.

[player_tooltip player_id='550499' first='Ytzel' last='Grajeda Del Rio'], 5'3”, DS/L, Wichita North, ‘25

Prep Dig has Del Rio ranked No. 173 Kansas Class of 2025. Del Rio tallied nine digs and five serve receptions before leaving the match early due to a leg injury. She made consistent first passes, but I thought she played with more energy when I saw her over the summer. She does not have any collegiate offers but would be a solid defensive player for programs at the NAIA and JUCO levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='551333' first='Ryann' last='Daggett'], 6'0”, MB, Wichita North, ‘27

Prep Dig has Daggett ranked No. 91 overall in the class of 2027. She had the best hitting performance of the match for the RedHawks'. She collected 11 kills, 10 digs, and eight serve receptions. She was the only North athlete who seemed ready to play coming off the bus. She can elevate with the best of them and is strong for her age. I feel like she will be a solid Division I prospect for smaller conference programs and a sure-fire prospect at the Division II level. She has a ton of volleyball left to play and would benefit from playing for an elite-level club team.
