<p>Teams are divided into two pools of five and the top team in each pool will play for the tournament title.</p>

<p>I plan on scouting some of the early matches in the tournament and look forward to seeing more than 50 ranked Prep Dig athletes in action, while also being on the lookout for players to add to the rankings.</p>

<p><strong>Brookly Andrews</strong>, 5'8”, S, Lansing, ‘28</p>

<p>The host Lions have a young setter off to a hot start this season. Through nine sets played she has recorded 83 assists. The Lions open play with a 9:00 am Red Pool Match against Platte County, Missouri. Andrews is currently ranked No. 26 in the class of 2028.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='222094' first='Kylie' last='Groves']</strong>, 5'4”, S, De Soto, ‘26</p>

<p>Groves is ranked No. 80 overall in the class of 2026. She is setting for De Soto and has racked up 40 assists in nine sets for the Wildcats. De Soto competes in the Black Pool and opens the tournament against Basehor-Linwood.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523631' first='Catlin' last='Shao']</strong>, 5'10”, S, Blue Valley Southwest, ‘26</p>

<p>Shao is a junior setter for the Timberwolves. In 10 sets played she has tallied 110 assists for Southwest. She is currently ranked No. 113 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. The Timberwolves open the tournament at 9:00 am against Spring Hill in Black Pool action.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='483949' first='Brooke' last='Beashore']</strong>, 5'6”, D/L, Spring Hill, ‘27</p>

<p>In the first 13 sets of the season, Beashore has collected 40 digs and 28 kills for Spring Hill. She is currently ranked No. 71 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. Spring Hill is a solid defensive squad with four athletes with 30 or more digs already.</p>

<p>Leathers is ranked No. 37 overall in the class of 2026. The Owls have played in 22 sets already and won a season-opening tournament in Hays. Leathers has recorded 137 assists and leads the team in digs with 71.</p>

<p>Prep Dig has Lawrence's setter ranked No. 168 overall. Through 12 sets played the senior has 101 assists for the Lions. The Lions open up the tournament against Olathe West in Black Pool play. The first three matches will all start at 9:00 am then the rest of the matches will begin as courts open up.</p>
