Leathers is ranked No. 8 overall and is the No. 2-ranked setter in the Kansas Class of 2026. She is coming off a junior season in which she registered 851 assists. The first benchmark she could hit in 2025 is 1,500 career assists, and she should make a solid push at 2,000 with a deep post season run. The Owls have qualified for the Class 6A State Tournament the past two season and Leathers will be looking to make it three in a row with her teammates.

Leathers is ranked No. 8 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She has verbally committed to play for the Air Force Academy after graduation. The Olathe West prospect is the starting setter for a deep and talented Owls squad. She enters her senior season with the benchmarks of 1,500 and 2,000 career assists both in reach. She tallied 851 assists as a junior for the Owls. If she played for the Cubs, she would be a middle infielder who likes to flash the leather!

The Olathe West Owls are a disciplined and athletic team. Leathers is another one of many setters who can get overlooked on a team loaded with hitting options. Setters never get enough attention during state tournaments. There is just too much action with multiple courts having games and no official stat teams working for KSHSAA during the tournament. Leathers is a prospect I have seen play multiple times during the club and prep seasons. She is one of those old-school, unselfish players, looking to do what is best for her team while not searching for headlines or credit. The Owls finished third in the Class 6A Tournament.
