REGION I
Magnificat, the state's #2 ranked team in DI, gets the edge as the favorite to get to the semifinal round out of Region I although there are a few teams that, if efficient in their effort, could emerge. Junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='227800' first='Sydney' last='Borowy'] has been putting up big numbers all season as she is averaging 5.4 k/s. When in system, there offense is fast and varied with Borowy benefitting from the space that tempo can create. Middle [player_tooltip player_id='185348' first='Ava' last='Carney'] is one of the best in the region for her two-way effort on both sides of the ball. She can put the ball away through quick options at over three kills per set, while also defending well with her length and effective reactions. She leads this team in efficiency at .462 and has 62 total blocks on the season. Junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='403534' first='Kailey' last='Snow'] is a team leader in service aces while anchoring the defense at over 14 digs per match. She has good first-contact fundamentals and creates good range. Senior outside hitter Fiona Greulich is third on the team offensively at 2.8 k/s. She could be the x-factor if her production stays on point, which will provide the Blue Streaks with more balance in their point scoring. Other teams that are very close include Jackson, St. Joseph Academy, and Mentor.

REGION II
Competing well all season is Oletangy Orange with a very balanced offensive attack and a setter that drives this ship with athleticism and high level competitive experience on big stages. [player_tooltip player_id='524602' first='Izzy' last='Scholvin'] is averaging nines assists per set for an offense that includes four attackers at 2.2 k/s or better. [player_tooltip player_id='500084' first='Maci' last='Gerboth'] recently entered our 2026 rankings as she leads this offense at 2.8 k/s. She shows the best relationship with Scholvin given the range of offense they create together in front and overhead of the setting position. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='763896' first='Camryn' last='Coomer'] is also at 2.8 k/s as she gets ample opportunity at the left pin as she leads the team in attempts. Junior Delaney Mcatee contributes 2.3 k/s while 6'3 Kylie Perone brings the best length and offers 2.2 k/s. Other teams that will contend well include Pickerington North behind senior [player_tooltip player_id='151970' first='Dylan' last='Hunt'] and her counterpart in junior Makaiya Turner leading their offense. Pickerington Central is 18-4 overall and features an offense that earns nearly 12 kills per set, led by senior pin [player_tooltip player_id='176093' first='Makenna' last='Grimes'].

REGION III
Perrysburg is the heavy favorite among this group of teams. They enter the postseason ranked #8 in the most recent OHSVCA state poll. At 15-6 overall, their losses have come at the hands of some great teams, including multiple losses to the current #1 ranked team in DII in Anthony Wayne. With a bye in the first round, they will likely take on Whitmer if they can get through their opening match. Perrysburg has defeated Whitmer twice, both by 3-0 scores. The Yellow Jackets are led by junior pin [player_tooltip player_id='403536' first='Katie' last='Pahl'] and her team high 4.5 k/s average. She has an aggressive left arm that has produced twice as much offense as in 2023, including a career best .291 efficiency. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='445133' first='Sophie' last='Burkey'] is also impressive at 3.5 k/s and an improved impact at a 42% termination rate. She is a veteran point scorer that helps make this tandem tough to slow down, including at the service line where she leads the team with 54 aces on the season.

REGION IV
This portion of the postseason field features Seton, a longstanding #1 ranked team in DI this season. They may be the the most complete team in this division along with a juggernaut of a league a schedule against the corps of GGCL teams that should have them well prepared to take care of business through the regional stage. As they are the only GGCL team in DI due to the new divisional structure, they won't have to face any league rivals in the postseason, unlike the history of epic playoff contests among conference teams. At 20-2 overall, their two losses came in league play versus teams they also defeated as part of the GGCL schedule. Likely to be an all-Ohio selection, all-around contributor [player_tooltip player_id='227615' first='Callie' last='Combs'] is the backbone for this squad as she contributes in so many ways. She can score at 3.7 k/s, third in the GGCL, while also picking 3.2 digs per frame, which has her among the top five. Other offense comes from very capable scorers in senior [player_tooltip player_id='152054' first='Daisy' last='Cluxton'] and junior [player_tooltip player_id='379749' first='Nattie' last='Slusher'], both contributing 2.9 kills per set. Two setters balance the offense as senior Reagan Miller and junior [player_tooltip player_id='368391' first='Kirsten' last='Kemper'] have totaled 424 and 294 assists respectively. This is a squad that collectively terminates nearly 13 kills per set while just shy of a team efficiency of .300. Their first match is next weeks versus Princeton.
