Gerboth’s contributions for her club team are a big reason why they are competing so well as they narrowly missed earning an open-level bid to the GJNC in their most recent tournament. A 6’0 middle, she is active in all phases of the quick offense in front and behind her setter. She has good footwork and is fluid in her movement to get to the ball on balance to use her arms speed well upon contact. Gerboth is fundamentally sound will be a high value add to her next-level team.

Every aspect of Gerboth’s game has been noticeably upgraded from this time last year. This was clearly evidenced by the best performance of her varsity career this past fall as she led the 21-5 Oletangy Orange Pioneers offensively and at the net on the defensive side. She had career best numbers at 2.8 k/s and .368 efficiency, along with 68 total blocks. It is not often that we see middles lead their teams offensively but Gerboth has a great offensive skill set in her footwork and movement patterns that pairs well with her range in how she can score around her setter.

Gerboth is the Pioneers’ top offensive threat at 2.7 k/s. The middle is earning more points this season than in 2023 while her efficiency has sustained itself at .339. She recently earned her season high of 12 kills in their 3-0 win over Hilliard Bradley. As this team’s primary middle around their setter, Gerboth can score through varied attack points with good movement off one foot overhead. She has some incredible competitive experience being a member of one of the nation’s best club teams at Mintonette.
