Lake Catholic has been very hot over recent seasons including arriving atop the state podium. They get big offense from the Bergants and solid ball control action from Oster. They competed well throughout the season and are always poised and ready for a deep postseason run. However, Crestview is unbeaten and feature a huge offensive tandem in Emch and Auer. Emch is one of the most coveted 2025 prospects in Ohio and has length, athleticism and a full skill set. The junior Auer can score from anywhere, which makes this duo very tough to defend. Girard is a sleeper in that they have a core group of veterans that can create advantages as they are the prediction to win the other semifinal although Elyria Catholic is currently ranked #6.
Prediction: Even as Lake Catholic is the #1 ranked team in DV, Crestview is the prediction to advance to the state semifinal round as their seasoned pair of arms will be too much to handle.

REGION 18

OTTAWA-GLANDORF vs. ARCHBOLD
Ottawa-Glandorf | [player_tooltip player_id='227620' first='Sienna' last='Fry'] 4.3 k/s; Kaitlyn Kimmet 2.4 k/s; [player_tooltip player_id='227631' first='Addyson' last='Bellman'] 8.9 a/s

Archbold | [player_tooltip player_id='176101' first='Keely' last='Culler'] 4.9 k/s; Jazla Torres 9.7 a/s

WILLARD vs. MADISON PLAINS
Willard | [player_tooltip player_id='718897' first='Kelsey' last='Lykins'] 4.2 k/s; Morgan Lofland 3.7 d/s; Caitlyn Weaver 601 assists

Madison Plains | Claire Mason 3.2 k/s; [player_tooltip player_id='480813' first='Kenzie' last='Vallery'] 3.0 k/s; Mackenzie Reeves 4.3 d/s

Preview: Archbold features one of the biggest arms in Culler as she can bring some heat. She has produced a lot of points for this program and is a tough match up for any team. Fry, a lefty pin, can match that production of Culler for Ottawa-Glandorf and this potential net match up of these two across from one another at times will be one to keep a close eye on to see how well they can each impact the game. Willard and Madison Plains statistically have better balance and this upcoming contest between them will benefit the team that is most efficient and effective in their game plan and use of their full arsenal.
Prediction: This region is tough to predict as these teams all have strengths that could help them prevail as there is no clear favorite. The nod goes to Ottawa-Glandorf. The big lefty presence of Fry just may be the x-factor.

REGION 19

UNION LOCAL vs. WHEELERSBURG
Union Local | Olivia Wortman 3.3 k/s; [player_tooltip player_id='227810' first='Laken' last='Vinskovich'] 2.1 k/s; 67 blocks; [player_tooltip player_id='718895' first='Emma' last='Yager'] 4.1 d/s

Wheelersburg | [player_tooltip player_id='289175' first='Gracie' last='Perkins'] 4.0 k/s; Alyssa Mullins 2.9 k/s; [player_tooltip player_id='502136' first='Grace' last='Woodward'] 2.8 k/s; Ella Chamberlin 791 assists; Mylee Gleim 4.4 d/s

ZANE TRACE vs. ADENA
Zane Trace | Addison Platt 3.3 k/s; Laynie Scott 2.6 k/s; [player_tooltip player_id='721311' first='Kerrigan' last='Hill'] 4.4 d/s

Adena | [player_tooltip player_id='732839' first='Katie' last='Burns'] 5.9 k/s, 76 blocks; [player_tooltip player_id='532954' first='Corinne' last='Day'] 4.2 k/s; Kimmy Dalton 6.0 d/s

Preview: Three of these teams are currently ranked in the top five in Division V including #3 Wheelersburg, #4 Union Local, and #5 Adena. Adena has two prolific point scorers on their side in Burs and Day and will look for them to balance each other to get a likely win over 14-11 Zane Trace. The feature match is Union Local versus Wheelersburg in the regional semifinals with the latter having more depth around the court that has worn down teams and led them to an overall record of 23-2, including going unbeaten in league play.
Prediction: Wheelersburg will have to battle in consecutive matches but should emerge to the state semifinal round.

REGION 20

BROOKVILLE vs. VERSAILLES
Brookville | [player_tooltip player_id='227628' first='Sidney' last='Sprada'] 6.3 k/s, 3.6 d/s; Logynn Barr 2.4 k/s, 53 aces, 2.9 d/s; Paloma Carey 2.9 d/s

Versailles | [player_tooltip player_id='875496' first='Kylie' last='May'] 3.6 k/s; Lauren Prenger 4.8 d/s; Taylor Wagner 43 aces, 37 blocks)

FAIRBANKS vs. BISHOP FENWICK
Fairbanks | Claire Baker 2.8 k/s, Maddi Sines 2.7 k/s, Madeleine Peffer 2.7 k/s, Allie Boyd 10.6 a/s

Bishop Fenwick | [player_tooltip player_id='480794' first='Morgan' last='Meiring'] 4.0 k/s; Emerson Moser 4.1 d/s; [player_tooltip player_id='151963' first='Lyla' last='Schmitt'] 2.0 k/s)

Preview: Brookville, ranked #9 at 24-1 overall, is the highest ranked team in this portion of the bracket and features the arm that many are talking about in Sprada. She has been the primary offensive option for this program her entire varsity career and in this her junior season she is producing at a much higher rate than any season before. These two regional semifinals may result in equally lopsided outcomes as a Brookville versus Fairbanks contest to get to the season's final weekend is likely. Unlike Brookville, Fairbanks has a much more balanced attack with five prospects between 2.0 and 2.8 k/s. Their senior setter in Boyd does a great job leading this offense at over 10 assists per set.
Prediction: Brookville has relied on their star to earn a lot of victories and Sprada's ability to carve up a defense should be the answer to get them to the state semifinal stage.
