The left-handed Wazac has expanded her game this season to play six rotations. While she holds up well in the back row, she does most of her damage from the pins, especially the right side. Wazac has increased her power and consistency during the last few years. When she gets going, she can carry a team to victory as a two-way force at the net. Wazac enters the regionals with 814 career kills, according to Bound, with 402 of them happening this season.

According to Bound, Ray has piled up 2908 career assists with 974 of them being dished out this fall. She and Wazac are a dangerous 1-2 punch, sharing a great connection. For her part, Ray delivers the ball where Wazac and her other hitters can maximize their swings. She brings a high volleyball IQ to the court, moving smoothly around teammates and getting in position to make plays. Ray has become a more consistent hitter, as evidenced by her 85 kills in '24. Her 32.0 blocks and 163 digs this season highlight her talents as a defender.

A consistent performer on the club circuit, Knock brings that same level of reliability to her school ball team. She shows strong reflexes and lateral movement. Knock reads the attack well and gets to her spot. From there, her technique is sound and passes precise. Knock is a big reason why the Prairie Hawks have improved their attack this season. She plays a major role in keeping the operation in system. It's led to 436 digs and 49 assists this season.

Caspers has served as a glue player among these Prairie Hawks. She helps hold everything together with her versatility and position flexibility. Caspers is listed as an outside hitter, which she's good at, leading to 224 kills, the second most on the team. She's also second in digs with 244. Caspers is a good athlete, showing quick-twitch traits and an impressive vertical leap.

Marais stood out with her play at August's Prep Dig Sizzle in Coralville. She did not look like a freshman, instead showing aggression and confidence. Marais has grown her game from there. She's an explosive attacker with excellent leaping ability and power in her swing. As she gains consistency and acquires an even greater feel for the game, Marais is sure to build heavily on the 88 kills she's produced as a ninth-grader during the next three seasons. She's one to watch.

Hingst plays an important role on this squad as a presence in the middle that complements strong pins. Opponents can't shade their attention to the center of the net. They've tried, as evidence by her 80.0 blocks, one behind the team leader, Wazac. Hingst aids the attack when given the chance. She's cranked out 112 kills this season. At 5-foot-8, Hingst doesn't fit the mold of a prototypical middle hitter, but she succeeds with athleticism and an advanced aptitude for the game.
