Recently, I've been getting messages about players making big-time plays and needing recognition. This middle had a massive performance to keep her team from a big upset, a trio of players stepping up to help their team battle adversity, and a SEMO recruit putting up ridiculous numbers. This setter waited until her final year to run her team's high-powered offense. Please let me know if you know of a player who plays out of their mind. I want to cover their performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='220349' first='Teagan' last='Pocius'] – 6'0” – Middle - Marquette

I've written about Teagan before and how talented of a middle she is, but this next is incredible. The Mustang middle helped her team escape from an upset at the hands of Webster Groves 26-28, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-7. In the five-setter, Teagan finished with 32 kills on 47 attempts with only six errors, giving her a .553 hitting percentage and four blocks. It's impressive for a middle to get the ball 47 times. This shows you she can read the ball from the passer and audible her hit. I've watched her do this; she can hit a mean slide.

[player_tooltip player_id='485570' first='Eden' last='Robart'] – 6'0 – Outside - Potosi

It's Eden's time to shine, and she stays focused on the task. Eden performed masterfully in a five-set win over DeSoto, finishing with 33 kills, nine digs, and three aces in a 25-18, 19-25, 26-28, 25-12, 15-11 win over DeSoto. Eden can take over matches; if Potosi wants a district title, she must do so.

Layla Juliette – 5'10 – Middle - Potosi

Potosi has had some unfortunate injuries over the last few years, and Layla is ready to fill the void. She elevated her game in the five-set win over Desoto by hitting from every position at the net. In the win, she hit .286 with 20 kills, helping her team, along with [player_tooltip player_id='485570' first='Eden' last='Robart'], to sneak out of the Dragon's Den with the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='544678' first='Adalynn' last='Gibson'] – 5'6” – Setter - Potosi

What do you do when you get the call to run the offense? You set your team to a five-set win and dish out 42 assists. Adalynn was allowed to take full reigns of the offense and did a great job helping her team win. I'm covering the Potosi trio because, faced with the adversity, they've played exceptionally well, and I hope things return to normal before the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='168035' first='Reagan' last='Nelson'] – 6'0” – Outside - Pattonville

I've written about Reagan several times this season, but she keeps doing some impressive things and putting up ridiculous numbers. Get this! In her team's five-set win over Westminster, Reagan had 95 attempts and finished with 39 kills. The 39 kills are now the highest kill total for a match in the STL Metro Area. If I'm not mistaken, it's also the highest in Missouri. Her 561 kills on the season places her 16th nationally. From what I can find on MaxPreps, she is 2nd in the nation for the most kills in a game with this 39. Reagan is 86 kills away from breaking the MSHSAA career kills record, currently held by Reese Gray of Lesterville, with 2056.

Carly DeSarno – 5'7” – Setter – Lafayette

Think of waiting till your senior year to start and run the offense for the Class 5 two-time defending state champs. Well, Carly, you are having a fantastic finish to your high school career. During Lafayette's five-set loss to St. Dominic, Carly had a career night ending with 53 assists, which ties her with the most assists in the STL Metro Area.
