The athlete who rises above the rest and garners the most votes will be honored as our Player of the Week. Meet the Nominees
At her tournament on Sept. 21 Belle hit 1000 career assists as a sophomore and had 63 kills hitting .475 with 9 aces in class 5A IA Volleyball.
Highlights
Ema led RM Rockets to 2-0 record between September 16th and 22nd, and in 7 sets totalled 27 kills on 44 swings (.545 hitting percentage), 27 assists, 9 aces and 6 digs, including a win against Wootton Patriots, the only team to beat Rockets during historic 2023 season, when they won their first Maryland Class 4A title.
She needs 3 more kills to reach 600 for her varsity career (just 61 match total, with 5 best of 3), during which she was named 1st team Montgomery County as a freshman and sophomore and MoCo Player of the year and Washington Post 1st team All-Met as a junior.
Highlights
During the week of Sept 16-22, Marisa totaled 55 Kills, 10 aces, 59 assists (sets), 59 Digs, and 8 solo blocks. This lead to helping her team climb the rankings in the coaching polls from 8th to 3rd.
She plays Rightside Pin & Setter for New Life Academy.

Katelyn hit the 3000 career mark as a setter this week. She is currently in 9th place all time in Missouri with over 10 matches to go. Katelyn also is a team leader in aces and digs on the season. She is a great team leader and captain.

Player broke the record for most digs in a game and most digs in a set. Broke her previous record of 31 scoring 41 digs total against Cardinal Mooney High School. Broke record for most digs in a set at Cardinal Mooney with 15.

Allie should be considered Player of the Week since this was the week she exceeded 2000 Assists in her high school volleyball career. Allie is the Setter for her high school Varsity volleyball team. She has been on Varsity for four years, making Setter in her Freshman year. She was 13. Allie is a hard working student-athlete and does what it takes to accomplish her academic and athletic goals. Allie is a smart and strategic Setter who is able to move the ball effectively leaving Hitters with an open net. Allie is a coachable athlete where she is open minded and a team player for any team she plays for.
Allie is a talented Setter, Team Captain and overall outstanding volleyball player. I nominated Allie Lynch for Player of the Week.

Kylee Altendorf is a 4-year starter six rotation outside hitter who has reached two milestones, 1000 digs and 1000 kills in the same week. Her digs were achieved during the Port Washington match on Tuesday. At Port Washington Kylee had 18 kills with 8 digs. During the Thursday night match against Grafton Kylee achieved her 1000 kills. She had 21 kills with 15 digs.
The weekend the West Bend West volleyball team played at the Lynn LaPorte Sprawl. The team finished in 10th place.
Weekend totals – 61 kills, 48 digs, 5 ace serves, 100% serving
At the end of the tournament Kylee’s career totals are – Kills 1081, digs 1154, serving at 94%, 97 blocks 37 assists, Kylee is one of two main service receive passers 1379 total service receive passes.
Highlights
Madison helped DSHA continue to be undefeated on the season, and dropping only its 2nd set of the season at the Charger Challenge Tournament. During Pool Play, Quest’s play helped the team to keep opponents under 15 points in 5 of 6 sets; and all opponents under 20 points as the team swept its way to the finals, going 12-0 in sets until the finals match. Madison then helped the team to beat Arrowhead in the finals 2-1. Over the weekend, she led the team with 64 Kills, and contributed 20 digs, 7 total blocks and 7 aces. She achieved the 1,000 dig milestone as well!
