The [program_tooltip program_id='495391' first='Bourbon' last='City Volleyball Club'] formed in November of 2019 with Bardstown head coach Darren Morris serving as director and the club just announced rosters for two national teams and three playing locally.

The teams are mainly comprised of players from the 5th Region with some from the 6th Region. The 16-1 National team features a number of players that made impacts on the local teams in Bardstown sophomore defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id='484296' first='Molly' last='Kisegy'], Thomas Nelson sophomore setter/defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id='774748' first='Hadley' last='Brooks'], Marion County freshman defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id='722644' first='Addison' last='Garrett'] and Bullitt Central outside/middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='722201' first='Ella' last='Bleemel']. All four will have similar roles with Bleemel also playing some defensive specialist.

Bardstown's Kloie Hutchins could also play a defensive specialist role with Washington County's Jenna Settles playing middle hitter and Marion County's Maddie Skaggs playing middle hitter or outside hitter. Marion County's [player_tooltip player_id='721897' first='Lexi' last='Hall'] will play setter, defensive specialist and opposite hitter with Thomas Nelson's Morgan Dadisman playing right side hitter or defensive specialist.

The 16-1 Travel team has nine players with only Washington County sophomore Madelyn Mackin seeing four games on varsity this year. Mackin will play outside hitter/middle hitter and defensive specialist with three other Commanderettes. Tatum Yates will play outside hitter, opposite hitter and middle hitter with Katharine Clements playing defensive specialist and Sydney Osbourne playing opposite hitter and defensive specialist.

That team also features two Bethlehem players in Avery Ice and Mackenzie Sinclair, who will play setter and defensive specialist roles. North Hardin's Loryn Bragg and Elizabethtown's [player_tooltip player_id='721924' first='Morgan' last='Hunley'] will play defensive specialist roles with Miya Washington from Campbellsville playing defensive specialist and opposite hitter.

The 15-1 National features some promising freshmen in the 5th Region. Setter/opposite hitter [player_tooltip player_id='612253' first='Kate' last='Smith'] from Washington County is the big name after she had a nice season setting for the Commanderettes this past season. High school teammates Claire Mattingly and [player_tooltip player_id='721852' first='Josie' last='Hill'] also saw some varsity action this past fall. Mattingly will play libero or defensive specialist with Hill playing opposite hitter and defensive specialist.

Brookelyn Wilson and Layne Blincoe from Bardstown hope to make impacts at middle hitter and Bardstown's Adyson Osborne looks to make an impact at defensive specialist. Thomas Nelson's Kinslee Carter and Emily Reiter hope to help out at outside hitter and defensive specialist with Bethlehem's Avery Voils hoping to contribute at opposite hitter, outside hitter or defensive specialist.

The club also features 14-1 and 13-1 travel teams. Bardstown Middle School eighth grader Audrina Moore saw some action for Bardstown this past fall and will play defensive specialist on the 14-1 team.

Morris said the games begin in January.

Kisegy did a good job stepping into the libero role for Bardstown this past fall. She does a good job anticipating balls and using her hands to make good passes to the setters. Kisegy squares her arms up with balls well and slides when needed to make big digs. Kisegy hustles toward the net to dig up blocked balls and takes swings when the team is out of system. Kisegy has a hard jump serve bringing versatility to the Tigers.
Bleemel emerged as a nice offensive threat for the Cougars this past fall. She does a good job swinging through balls at the net. She can send hard shots to the back row and soft ones away from defenders at different parts of the court. She's reliable from the middle and the outside. Bleemel finished second for Bullitt Central with 145 kills this past fall.

Smith turned into a beacon of hope for the Commanderettes during a tough season emerging as the setter. Smith sets up her teammates well and earns a number of kills on setter dumps, even surprising opponents with pushes to the far corner. Smith is not afraid to dive after balls defensively and lands big kills when needed. Smith had 228 assists, 149 digs and 21 aces for Washington County this past fall.
