<p>Prep Dig released their Class of 2025 National Rankings last week and with that comes recruiting class rankings. What programs are making waves in the recruiting world? Who is getting a steal? What programs are bringing in large classes? We have all the details with #1 – #50 in the Class of 2025 recruiting classes. </p>

<p><strong>How are these determined? </strong></p>

<p>There is no science, there is no formula, it's a gray area. Do we look at the entire class or just the top one or two in the class? Do we value the immediate impact they will have as freshmen or do we look at what they could do in their entire year? What about the combination of players coming in along with the players they already have? What's the answer? A little bit of all of the above. These recruiting rankings will be based on the level of players coming in and what they can collectively do as a class. Some classes have two coming, others four or five (some more). There are some classes that are small, but could have an immediate impact. </p>

<p><strong>What To Know With These Commits? </strong></p>

<p>Yale looks like they will be continuing their winning ways based on the recruiting class they have coming in from 2025. They have picked up three nationally ranked West coast athletes in [player_tooltip player_id='366848' first='Ava' last='Poinsett'], [player_tooltip player_id='179674' first='Yuri' last='Park'], and [player_tooltip player_id='291971' first='Mae' last='Kordas']. There is a definite pattern in their recruiting where they have been able to get athletes from some of the top club programs in the country. They recently picked up their third straight Ivy League title. They will be a tough matchup come tournament time where they gave Penn State a scare in 2023. </p>

<p>The “New” Big 12 teams are making some noise in this group of teams with Houston, Cincinnati, Utah, and Arizona. Houston has athletes coming in at every contact with Gillian Pitts at libero, Tenesyn Frye will be coming from Idaho, and physical attacker in Tara Greenberry from St. Louis. Cincinnati has two really high level pin attackers coming in with [player_tooltip player_id='199763' first='Fallyn' last='Blotzer'] from So Cal and Isabelle Busignani from Michigan. These two are extremely terminal and are coming from programs who are accustomed to winning with Wave and Michigan Elite. Utah is currently third in the Big 12 and will hear their name called Sunday for the NCAA Tournament. I think Devyn Wiest could bring an immediate impact with her ability to score points on the outside. The combo of her and McKenna Payne out of Michigan Elite could bring Utah to a new level in the Big 12. Wiest has been part of open level championships for Arizona Storm and Payne teamed up with Busignani for plenty of wins over the years for Michigan Elite. Arizona brought in one of the top recruits from 2024 with Carlie Cisneros and will bring in a talented core led by one of the top outsides out of the PNW in Paige Thies who plays club for North Pacific Juniors. </p>

<p>SMU is in a different era of volleyball than where they were four or five years ago being in the ACC and currently have a top ten RPI. They are bringing in a large class led by two dominant athletes that are staying close to home. Kennedi Rogers has the athleticism and physicality to do some special things from the pin, a total terminator. She will make for a great combo with setter Hannah Beauford who has been part of plenty of wins at Drive Nation out of the Dallas area. </p>

<p>The senior class for Marquette has been part of plenty of wins , all seven of their seniors. That's a large group to be departing and it was essential that they are bringing in some high level athletes to fill the cupboard. They are bringing in athletes who have racked up plenty of wins at the high school and club level, including three nationally ranked players. Keira Schmidt has been a dominant middle blocker for Northern Lights, while incoming setter Isabela Haggard won a 16s AAU Open title for KiVA. An athlete to keep an eye on is outside hitter Amaria King who plays for Jacksonville Skyline who hits such a heavy ball from the pin. </p>
