Heavy Hitting 2027s from the Top 250 To Put on Your Radar - Pt 1

<p>We just wrapped up our first-ever Top 250 Expo, and it was INCREDIBLE! Over 90 players from Nevada came out to show off their skills in front of Prep Dig scouts and college coaches who were watching live on BallerTV. Players got to compete in high-energy drills and games, while also getting valuable recruiting tips and making new connections with teammates and coaches. It was a day full of talent, competition, and opportunity! </p>   <p>The 2027 class has some heavy hitters, <em>literally</em>. The pins were showing out at the showcase, killing it in drills and most impressively, during six-on-six competitions. We are highlighting the impressive outsides and opposite side hitters that should be on college coach radars and their June 15, 2025 call list. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Piper was in the gym doing what she does best—killing the ball nearly every set she gets. She was a force in the front row, and every scout noticed her! She has an incredible swing that stands out among a lot of her peers. Hard outside swings weren't the only thing she was cooking up; she also did a phenomenal job in the back row. The state champ had some amazing digs, including a diving pancake that turned into a scoring play for her team. She is one of the best pins in her class and performs at an elite level.</p>     <p>Jada caught my attention right away in hitting drills, absolutely crushing the ball from the opposite side to deep 6 and deep 1 court zones. Once the players broke into teams, she not only showed off her powerful swing as an oppo, but also got a chance to flex her versatility in the middle. No doubt, she was one of the top oppos at the showcase, earning herself a Top Performer award.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2024/11/jada-jones.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-723031" style="width:179px;height:auto" /></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kennedy has an amazing arm swing! She can crush it on the outside and even hits a killer pipe set from the back row. She really showed off her strength as a hitter, powering through blocks over and over. Her communication on the court was on point, and she passed well in the back row. Cope is on the rise and has catapulted her stock since I saw her in club last season. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Sarah had an amazing first year on varsity and brought that same competitive energy to the showcase. Her volleyball iq was on full display as she mixed up hard attacks, power tips, and everything in between. Nigro was a standout player and was pretty much the main scorer for her team during the six-on-six competitions, constantly keeping the defense on their toes. She's going to be a great addition to any college roster!</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">I was introduced to Lillyanne as a middle hitter last club and school season, but she has now transitioned to oppo. No doubt, the 5'10" sophomore can perform multiple types of middle attacks effectively, but she seemed to be a natural fit on the right side. During drills, she impressed with her transition footwork off the net and her ability to deliver hard, cross-court shots. The showcase allowed her to flex her skills in her newfound position in a competitive environment. The versatile hitter raised her stock, now being able to play two positions.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Iyanna was on fire the entire showcase! She had unstoppable energy and totally owned the court. Her attacks hard line was a sight to see–she has some serious power. She also worked the back row, getting in tons of passing reps and proving she's got all-around skills. She stayed on the court pretty much the whole time and gave an amazing performance, earning herself a spot on the All-Showcase Team! </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lesli crushed it at the showcase, showing off her top-notch hitting, passing, and setting skills. She has a powerful swing, passes well, and did a great job handling out-of-system sets. She can both hit and set well, making her a major dual threat in certain rotations. After helping her high school team make a deep playoff run, she brought that same competitive energy to the showcase.
