The biggest story out of this region came in the 4th District as the Murray Tigers finished district runner-up and made it to the region tournament for the first time since winning their last district championship in 2013.

Murray finished 18-12 on the season for a 10-win improvement from 2023. The Tigers did not stop there, though as they also recorded their first region tournament win since 2013 with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-11, 11-25, 25-17) win over Carlisle County. [player_tooltip player_id='504348' first='Addy' last='Robbins'] led the turnaround along with setter Allison Vonnahme. Allyson Rossi, [player_tooltip player_id='588544' first='Macy' last='Chiles'] and [player_tooltip player_id='504533' first='Reilly' last='Bassett'] gave the Tigers solid all-around play.

Marshall County still won the 4th District Tournament for the fifth straight year before advancing to the region semifinals for the first time since 2021 with a 3-0 win over Hickman County. The Marshals had a young team coming into the season, but figured some things out quick. They came several plays away from advancing to the region title game in the 3-2 (25-27, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 15-12) loss to Paducah Community Christian in the semifinals.

McCracken County (35-6) wound up dominating the region again. The Mustangs saw [player_tooltip player_id='159358' first='Addison' last='Hart'] win the region player of the year with 496 kills to go with 162 digs, 75 aces, 30 solo and 32 assisted blocks. Hart and [player_tooltip player_id='531304' first='Elizabeth' last='Gilbert'] are the two lone seniors for the Mustangs. They will build around setter [player_tooltip player_id='757541' first='Taylor' last='Dugan'], [player_tooltip player_id='533342' first='Penny' last='Kirkham'] and [player_tooltip player_id='533343' first='Reagan' last='Hill'] next season.

McCracken County beat Paducah Community Christian (25-9) in the region championship game before taking down Owensboro in the first round of state. The Warriors won the All "A" Region crown and went 2-3 in the state tournament losing in the Bronze Division semifinals to Somerset Christian.

A big surprise took place in the 3rd District Tournament. Mayfield won the top seed, but Graves County (14-14) bested Ballard Memorial (22-11) and Mayfield (20-10) to win the tournament for the third straight year under first-year head coach Courtney Griffith.

Carlisle County (17-20) won back the 1st District with a good combination of youth and experience. The Comets swept through the district in seed play and the tournament.

Robbins is a big reason the Tigers had a 10-win improvement this season. Robbins is a sound passer. She anticipates balls and reacts quickly to hard hit balls. Robbins even sends free balls over with a purpose. Robbins landed a good number of aces for the Tigers this year as well. Robbins led Murray with 229 digs to go with 32 aces this year.

Reynolds (pictured) filled in a huge role for the Marshals this past season. She helps run a crisp offense with her precise passing, is also a catalyst on defense with sound digs and can land big aces. Reynolds had 479 assists, 271 digs and 37 aces on the season to help Marshall County to a fifth straight district crown and spot in the region semifinals.

Draper gave the Comets some nice defensive play as an eighth grader. Draper brought more versatility this past fall helping with the setting position. She does a good job taking on multiple positions on the team. Defensively, she does a good job covering the ball coming out of nowhere sometimes to make great digs. Draper also scores a lot of quick points for Carlisle County with tough serves. Draper had 332 assists, 390 digs and 60 aces this past season for the Comets.
