Biggest Leaps in the 2026 Rankings

It was an incredible year for Nevada volleyball, with tons of players having standout seasons. The seniors wrapped up their high school careers in style, many of them setting new personal bests and crushing their post-seasons. Here's a look at the juniors who were so impressive, they jumped up in our 2026 rankings!    Previous Rank: 15   Aracelli was absolutely outstanding this season, playing a crucial role as her team's quarterback and main decision-maker. As the driving force behind her team's offense, she was responsible for running the offense and ensuring that every play was executed flawlessly. She had some powerful hitters on her team, and she made sure to set them up for the best opportunities to showcase their talents. Her form and technique were noticeably cleaner than in our last update, while her ability to read the game and adjust on the fly made her an invaluable asset to her team.    Her decision-making, combined with her elevated skills, played a pivotal role in helping lead Durango to a second straight 4A State Championship win. Over the course of the season, Aracelli racked up close to 900 assists, showcasing her incredible court vision and playmaking ability. Averaging about 9.2 assists per set, she consistently delivered top-tier performances and was a key contributor to her team's success. As a junior, Aracelli's growth as a player this season is just the beginning, and it's clear that she has the potential to become an even greater force in her senior season.   Season Stats (4A state champion) - 849 assists, 173 digs, 59 aces   --Kantessa @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Previous Rank: 21   Miy'Aja played the most important role on her varsity team, handling nearly all of the setting duties and earning a reputation for having one of the toughest float serves in Nevada. Her jump sets were hard to read, as were her sneaky dumps. Miy'Aja's contributions didn't stop at the net; she was also a key player in the back row, where she proved to be just as valuable. Consistently digging tough attacks from opponents, she was a rock for her team in defense. Whether it was a fast-paced spike or a short tip, Diggs was always ready, diving for the ball or positioning herself perfectly to keep the rally alive.    By the end of the season, she had racked up nearly 200 digs, a clear testament to her defensive skills and her commitment to being a complete player on both sides of the court. Her ability to contribute in every aspect of the game—setting, serving, digging, and playing solid defense—made her an indispensable asset to her team as she led them to the 4A state championship. Her versatility, work ethic, and determination helped her team achieve great success, and her impact on both offense and defense was undeniable.   Season Stats - 556 assists, 187 digs, 61 aces, 45 kills   --Kantessa @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Previous Rank: 55   Chyanne was a beast in multiple positions, playing both setter and outside hitter for her varsity team. Her athleticism and competitiveness make her a versatile player, enabling her to excel at both positions with ease. Whether she's setting up a play or attacking the net, she brings a level of intensity and focus that sets her apart. Her jump sets are incredibly graceful, showing off her precise timing and excellent control, while her swings are explosive and powerful, making it clear she can dominate offensively.    Finishing #2 in hitting percentage, Chyanne demonstrated just how efficient and reliable she is on the court. Whenever she goes up to swing, there's an excellent chance it's going to result in a score, whether through a well-placed kill or a sneaky tip that leaves the defense scrambling. Her ability to contribute in a variety of ways—whether it's setting up her teammates for success or taking matters into her own hands to finish points—makes her an invaluable asset to her team. Chyanne's all-around performance this season not only helped her team succeed but also proved just how crucial her leadership and talent are on the court.   Season Stats - 211 kills, 79 aces, 130 assists   --Kantessa @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Previous Rank: 35   Myla was the driving force behind most of Liberty's offensive plays this season, consistently making an impact in every match. Her hitting power was unmatched, and she had no problem powering through blocks all season long, leaving defenders scrambling to keep up. Whether attacking from the front row or digging in the back row, Myla's fierce competitive spirit was evident. She never backed down from any challenge, consistently finding a way to make a play for her team when they needed it most.   Myla's impressive work ethic allowed her to rack up triple-digit kills and digs, showcasing her all-around talent and drive. Her versatility allows her to excel in all six rotations, complemented by a solid float serve. As Myla enters her club season with Vegas Volley, there's no doubt that her growth and exceptional talent will grab the attention of coaches across the board. With her combination of power, versatility, and relentless work ethic, Myla is set to make a huge impact on the court.   Season Stats - 163 kills, 190 digs, .266 hitting %   --Kantessa @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Previous Rank: 43   Maya had an incredibly impressive season, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to the game. Initially introduced to me as a hitter, she quickly showed how much she excels in that role. Strong and athletic, she made key plays for her club team last year and Durango varsity team throughout the school season. However, Maya wasn't content with only mastering one position—she set out to improve her setting skills earlier this year. Fast forward to about mid-Fall, she was not only hitting for her team, but she was also ready to step up and set when the opportunity arose—and she absolutely killed it.   Her ability to contribute in both roles was a major factor in Durango's undefeated regular season, with many of her sets and outside kills creating amazing plays. Maya was a key contributor to Durango's 4A State Championship win this season, showcasing her versatility and skill. She's become an invaluable asset to her team, capable of playing multiple positions at a high level, and her growth this season proves just how dedicated she is to becoming the best player she can be.   Season Stats - (4A state champion) 85 assists, 55 digs, 40 kills, 25 aces   --Kantessa @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     [player_tooltip player_id='526099' first='K' last='Sawyer'] 33 to 22 11 spots   Previous Rank: 33   K jumped an impressive 33 spots in our latest rankings after an outstanding season on varsity at Faith Lutheran. Her dedication and commitment to the game are unmatched—she is the ultimate hustler, giving 100% effort every time she steps on the court. Whether it's diving for a tough ball or tracking down a seemingly impossible pass, K is always willing to go the extra mile for her team. Her ability to better the ball and create opportunities for her teammates is one of her standout qualities. On top of her technical skills, K excels in communication, constantly keeping her teammates in the loop and ensuring everyone is on the same page.   Her leadership on the court is evident in how she directs plays, communicates strategy, and encourages her teammates to stay focused. K is also willing to sacrifice her body to keep the ball in play, whether it's diving for a save or absorbing tough hits in the back row. Her defense is top-notch, and she consistently showcases the skills she's gained through her defensive specialist training. With her all-around play, work ethic, and determination, K continues to show why she's one of the most exciting players in the 2026 class.
