G’s Elite Setters at Houston Top 250 Expo

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some of the most talented prospects in the Houston area made their way to the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] training facilities, in Spring, last Sunday, to join us at the stop of the Prep Dig Top 250 Expo in H-Town.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a very fun morning, with plenty of talented and hard-working players giving their best on the court and nailing the drills. I was following the action closely and will report on the prospects that caught my eye for their strong play and competitive mindset. I liked everything I saw about her setting skills, starting with her accuracy, but probably even more how dynamic and aggressive she is. Brown is extremely physical and knows exactly how to make the most of her athletic tools when setting - she used her strength to push the ball to the pin from anywhere on the court and her body control to make fakes and keep opposing blockers guessing. She was always willing to take risks with her distribution and proved to be extremely creative. She was among the setters who impressed me the most all day, displaying solid technical skills and way more maturity than one would expect from a player of her age. It's usual for younger people to lay low among older teammates or opponents, but that wasn't the case with Prpa, who stood out with her performance and also with how she interacted with the other players during the drills and breaks. She thrived in her role as a setter, using all her hitters and doing a very good job of remaining accurate with her sets. But perhaps what stood out the most about her was the positive energy she had while playing. Fosdick couldn't stop smiling and it was easy to see how much everyone enjoyed being around her, which is a great thing to have when you're a setter. Very calm and steady, she can be the point of stability every team needs, delivering all day long without necessarily being flashy. She has great setting hands and is very precise and reliable with her sets. Rich was listed at 5'7", but had a long frame and big hands, which makes her look considerably taller and gives her the ability to make plays at the net.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
