Meet the New Faces in PD Nevada’s 2025 Rankings – Vol. 1

We saw hundreds of players, including familiar faces and some new stars who caught our attention after seeing them in-person. After just a few minutes of watching Centennial play, Abigail is an instant standout, whether she's on the front or back row. She has a powerful swing, high volleyball IQ, and top-tier defensive reading skills. She quickly caught my attention the first match I seen her in and continued to impress all season long. Her vert is insane, she has high energy the entire match and she has a whip of an arm swing. She can hit numerous middle attacks with ease at a high-level and no doubt was one of the best in the state. Since then, she's been on my watchlist. In the 4A state semifinals, she kept impressing by bringing her A-game. Ava was all over the court—digging tough hits, covering her teammates to keep plays alive, and delivering precise passes that set her team up for scoring play. It's hard to get past her because she has great footwork, timing, and textbook form. She dominated defensively all season but also made her mark offensively with big kills in crucial moments. The three-year varsity player set career highs in digs, aces, and assists. Her shuffle step is on point, allowing her to quickly adjust and pass tough serves. Cummings has super clean form and keeps her platform steady, making sure more balls get to the target than not. She's also great with her hands on high balls, helping her team run a quick middle play. The senior's jump serve is an additional weapon and her out-of-system setting is flawless too. The multi-sport athlete served as team captain and her leadership shone through in her decision-making and aggressive play on the court. As the team's main setter, she delivered hundreds of perfect sets, creating scoring opportunities for her hitters.
