Middles Making Moves in the 2026 Rankings!

The 2026 class has forty middles in the rankings, with several more on the Watch List. This group has versatile players who crush kills from the pins, play tough defense in the back row, and make moves in the sand, the basketball court, and the softball diamond. Here is a breakdown of six middles in this spotlight on the 2026 rankings update.    Young plays bigger than her listed 6'0" height; she has heavy hands on the block and excellent timing running a quick tempo set. The 2026 prospect has a good approach and vertical; when she gets on top of a set she can drive the ball to the floor and leave defenders sprawling.     Geller is an outstanding multi-sport athlete who attends North Creek High School. On the volleyball court, she can attack from the pins or the middle, has a smooth arm swing, and shows solid footwork from each spot. Geller can easily flow into an attack off one foot, either coming out of the middle or adjusting to a set when she is on the right side.     Sugden is a very physical MB for Newport. This season, she continued to develop her overall play and technique. She has terrific size and can make life hard for middles across the net with her strong block. Offensively, Sugden has good power when she lines up a swing and a strong power tip she uses to score when the set is off. We expect her to continue to improve during the club season as she grows more and more confident in her offensive game.     DuBois captured 2nd Team All-Wesco League 3A South Conference honors as an outside hitter. DuBois has a technically sound swing, an easy motion with good hand contact, and she controls her location. She finds the deep corner swinging from the pin and the pipe, and Meadowdale relies on her to keep the offense humming.     The 6'1" Danielson played on the pin during the high school season, and she showed power and skill, terminating points for the Ravens. Her beach experience served her well, and her playing time on the right side during the club season helped prepare her for the outside. Danielson has a high ceiling; she is athletic and long with a good feel on the floor.     Terry was named to the 4A SPSL All-League Second Team after the fall season. The 5'11" junior middle posted matches with video game-level numbers of blocks; Terry has terrific athleticism and timing in the middle that lets her swallow up opposing attackers and bounce balls at the ten-foot line for kills.
