Tomorrow the calendar turns to 2025. With it, club season arrives.

Let's take a look at potential breakout performers:

Mila Jordan, 2028, Iowa United

The Wapello freshman ranked third among state ninth-graders with 276 kills (.214). She also came up with 195 digs and added 27 ace serves. Jordan is a high-end athlete with sharp reflexes. She does everything well, making her an asset wherever needed.

Caylee Jensen, 2029, Iowa United

Expect Jensen to impact the North Cedar varsity as a freshman next Fall. Before then, plan on her turning heads during club action. More colleges begin identifying prospects during their 14U seasons, and Jensen should emerge as one of the top '29s in the state relatively quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='730449' first='Kylee' last='Suhr'], 2028, [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets']

Suhr's steady improved during the last few years propelled her into solid freshman season at Williamsburg in 2024. She produced 167 kills (.301) and 63.0 blocks. Suhr is poised to raise her stock if she can take another step forward this club campaign.

Emary Cooper, 2028, Premier Nebraska

After a super freshman season with Lewis Central, Cooper looks like a prospect ready to pop in the coming months. She shined at the right pin during the fall, but her explosion off the floor and powerful swing could play anywhere across the front row. She had 150 kills to go with 39.0 blocks and 50 digs as a ninth-grader in '24.

[player_tooltip player_id='536274' first='Ryan' last='Connolly'], 2028, Iowa Impact

You could see the upside of Connolly as she worked her way through her freshman season in the West Des Moines Valley rotation. Facing a lot of the state's top competition, she registered 82 kills, 57 digs and 10.0 blocks. Connolly likely will turn more heads during club ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='555806' first='[player_tooltip player_id='523166' first='Haley' last='']' last='New'], 2027, [program_tooltip program_id='555793' first='RVA' last='Roots']

New was one of two sophomores on an Indianola team otherwise filled with upperclassmen in '24. The squad advanced to the state tournament, ranking among the state's leaders in wins. New delivered during her opportunities, setting up would should be a productive club season for one of the state's better 16s outfits.
