Pt. 1 - Early Look at Prep Dig Resolution Attackers

Tis' the season for previews for Prep Dig Events.  With the calendar turning to 2025, we have the Prep Dig Resolution ready to kick off at the Community First Champion Center on January 11-12 with the 16s-18s.  We have nearly 60 teams coming to town in our 6th annual Prep Dig Resolution.  Here is an early look at some athletes who could be having a big impact this weekend (with plenty more to come).     Sobolewski is coming off a big high school season for Newman Catholic where she was named 1st Team All State in D4 while her squad advanced to the D4 state semifinals. She is an attacker that everyone needs to be aware of because she can score from any spot along the front line and will be an outlet in the backrow to score. She has a heavy swing and isn't afraid to use the block to her advantage. This [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] 17 National team has played together for years and had a successful season in 2024 where they will look to build momentum in 2025.       Gabby Wokatsch had a great season for New Berlin Eisenhower where they were within one match of the state tournament, finishing in the elite eight of D2. Wokatsch is a right side with a big arm and is really athletic and dynamic. She can score off of a variety of tempos in front and behind the setter and is key outlet to score out of system on the right side as well. She is a Class of 2026 prospect who is playing up on the 18s team for Wisconsin Elite.     I was able to see [player_tooltip player_id='522219' first='Daelyn' last='Rieck'] at the Prep Dig Top 250 at the end of November and was really impressed with on the right side. Rieck was a a 1st Team All Conference performer for Colby High School where she led the team in digs and had over 300 kills on the season. She is the type of attacker who can score with the big left handed swing from the right side or left side.     Ali Hooper will be suiting up for the Wisconsin Elite 17 Elite team where she can do a little bit of everything. She is a creative shot maker where she knows how to use her angles on the outside with rolls and cut shots as well as attacking the block causing plenty of chaos on the other side of the net. She is key in the backrow as well where she can serve receive, pass, and score as well.       [player_tooltip player_id='435360' first='Rebecca' last='Krause'] is a new addition to Spiketown and will be a fun player to keep tabs on for Spiketown 17.1. She was one of the top attackers at Hortonville this past season where she was second on the team in kills. She has been able to show her skills on the Prep Dig stage at various tournaments and showcases the past two years. This Spiketown group made a run last season where they were in the gold bracket for 16 Club at AAU Nationals. There is plenty of Class of 2026 talent in this group.       [player_tooltip player_id='522604' first='Gracie' last='Buss'] is coming off of a strong high school season where her Shawano high school squad made a run to the WIAA D2 state tournament. Buss played a key role where she was third on the team in kills and was one of the top blockers for her squad. She can play a variety of front row positions, but will most likely be swinging and blocking from the middle or right side. She will be part of the [program_tooltip program_id='428659' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] 18 National team and is one to watch in the Class of 2025 who could be a late pick up.     [player_tooltip player_id='554786' first='Piper' last='Moyer'] will be playing up on [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] 16 TJ. She is a Class of 2028 prospect who has size and athleticism where she can do some special things along the front line. Her physicality at the net sets her apart from other 2028s in her area where she can attack from anywhere along the front line and is a presence with her block. She is a multisport athlete who will be fun to keep tabs on through her high school career and beyond.     [program_tooltip program_id='431932' first='South' last='Shore Slam'] out of the Sheboygan/Manitowoc area will be heading to the Prep Dig Resolution where they will have a national team competing at the 16s level. One athlete to take a look at is [player_tooltip player_id='523048' first='Nora' last='Halverson'] who just finished her sophomore season for Sheboygan Falls where they were 24-15 and 6-1 in their conference. She is a high flyer on the outside who can score in a variety of ways and will be picking up plenty of momentum this club season where Falls should have a really strong team returning in 2025.     Naquene Ellebecker will be one looking to make an impact for [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] 16 AK. This “AK” group will be coached by one of the top players to ever wear the UWSP jersey in Ashley Kopp who has plenty of All American honors. Ellenbecker is a sophomore at Edgar High School where she is a key six rotation player that can score from all spots in the front line. She had over 300 digs this high school season and will be a key piece in their serve receive.
