We've released our updated class of 2026 rankings, and there was a bunch of movement due to (1) earned commitments and (2) improved play that caught our eyes. Here are five athletes in the class of '26 that have improved to the point of college commitments AND much improved and matured play.

As a primary-passing six-rotation outside for Leo, Emersyn is clearly the main offensive threat for the Fort Wayne area squad. Her sights are bigger, however, as Empowered has a full indoor beach facility allowing Miss Weaver to do training that is unique to the state of Indiana---beach training. Between the indoor training at Empowered and the national-level tournaments that Emersyn has performed at, she's more than capable of joining the program at North Alabama.

Explosive and quick-footed, Lilly will be an important addition to the Huskies and the MAC, the same conference as Ball State. Multiple programs from this Division I conference make the postseason (NCAA and NIVC), and to make it here, you have to (1) hit high and hard, without fear, (2) pass well in both serve receive and floor defense, and (3) have a high volleyball IQ. Miss Abney has all three of those traits in her volleyball handbook, and has gotten even stronger since the beginning of the high school season. I look forward to her continued improvement with Circle this spring.

From southeastern Indiana, about halfway between Indy and Cincy, Reesa is the main thumper for Batesville. Playing at Elevation, an OVR club, is a heckuva haul one-way for club practice, but well worth it knowing she should be able to play immediately upon arrival in Miami. The training she's received is far and away better than anything around her at the moment, and at her size, she's fully taking advantage of that unmatched training.

Grace's quick rise will work in consort with her availability to play at Roncalli, now that graduations have moved some of the biggest hitters (read: [player_tooltip player_id='152943' first='Logan' last='Bell']) on to the next level. Miss Troxell's ability to play either pin, with high levels of both athleticism and volleyball acuity, should make her highly recruitable. Her open-level schedule she'll get to play in with her Academy squad will give her more than enough opportunity to show what she's got, just like she did at the Top 250 Expo this past Saturday.

Another nice surprise that came to us at our Top 250 Expo comes from the Kokomo area, due north of Carmel in north central Indiana. Caitlin hits a heavy ball and can play all the way around with her Boiler Juniors training and her high volleyball IQ. I'm looking forward to what she does against toughest competition this spring, and how much more she can rise in the coming months armed with skills that are hard to find in available recruits in this class.
