We are back with our updated rankings for the class of 2027. We added close to 50 new athletes and will add even more as the club season progresses. We had a little movement among the top ten. We had some big jumps for some athletes after a good club season, an impactful high school year, or an eye-opening performance at the Prep Dig Top 250 Showcase. As a reminder, our rankings are sorted first and foremost by college potential. As we progress through the list we also add players who had big high school seasons but may be from smaller geographic areas where their access to major club tournaments may be scarce.

Here is what occurred amongst the top 10.

[player_tooltip player_id='475339' first='Shaye' last='Witherspoon'] still sits at the top of the rankings after a strong 2024. She helped lead Lafayette to back-to-back titles being dominant on the pin and improving her game in the back row. Her stat line included over 400 kills, 95 blocks, and a tad under 200 digs. The 6'3" Middle, [player_tooltip player_id='544673' first='Marlee' last='Steiner'] still sits in the two spot. She has high potential and delivered kills at almost a 50% clip.

[player_tooltip player_id='544668' first='Madelyn' last='Mannebach'] moved up a spot after a strong high school season and a good showing at the Prep Dig showcase earlier this month. She tallied just under 400 kills in her sophomore season from the right side. [player_tooltip player_id='446328' first='Tori' last='Massengill'] jumped a couple of slots into the top 5 after helping lead Lee's Summit West into the postseason. She is a six-rotation outside many coaches will have their eyes on. [player_tooltip player_id='475322' first='Kate' last='Sherry'] made the largest jump within the top ten going from nine to five after a big jump in production this fall. She went from 121 kills in year one to 283 in year two. She is a dynamic outside with a bright future.

[player_tooltip player_id='545157' first='Sophia' last='Kaburakis'] follows in the sixth space. She will look to deliver on the club scene this winter and showcase the skills we first saw last year. [player_tooltip player_id='489915' first='Hannah' last='Garrett'] moved from ten to seven in the latest rankings. She saw all of her numbers improve in the middle for Eureka.

The largest jump into the top ten comes from Potosi Middle Blocker [player_tooltip player_id='485570' first='Eden' last='Robart']. It could be easy to discount the play of Robart due to her school size and competition but she shows well on the club scene. I would love to see her against stronger foes but I can't ignore 500 kills, 300 digs, and 72 aces along with championships. [player_tooltip player_id='544677' first='Caroline' last='Tenholder'] and [player_tooltip player_id='544669' first='Gabby' last='Schwoeppe'] remain in the top ten as others moved up. Caroline had 152 kills from the middle. Schwoeppe is the lone setter in the top bunch after a strong club season last year.
