We have a few more 2027s to cover before this weekend's action.

Yesterday, we highlighted a handful of Class of 2027 athletes with plenty to gain heading into this year's first Midwest Power League. That feature mentioned the importance of this year's campaign for the 2027s, so we're back to bringing new names into the spotlight.

Riggins is ready to take on a leading role with Nebraska Juniors 16 Black. We fondly remember her standout performances on the Prep Dig Circuit, where this Lincoln Southwest outside hitter demonstrated her explosiveness and range. Riggins maintains a natural rhythm in pass-to-attack situations, allowing her to take up a large chunk of the court in serve receive. A breakout season could be looming for a versatile, talented 16 Black roster.

Let's pay a visit to Nebraska Juniors 16 Red. This team will compete in Group 1 of the 16 Club division, and Jensen could help 16 Red gain some early momentum before bracket play. Jensen has anchored the libero jersey throughout most of her club career and is unflappable in that role. The Lincoln East sophomore can make quick reads on opposing hitters and fill in any gaps left by the frontcourt defense. Those instincts could make the difference in what should be a highly competitive Power League pool.

Devers is a "spark plug" attacker in the Premier Nebraska gym. She can come in off the bench and provide immediate energy and firepower on the left pin. Her progress as an all-around attacker captured our attention when she competed at one of last year's Prep Dig showcase events. Devers can go over or around any hands in front of her, making her an omnipresent setting target for Premier Nebraska 16 Silver. This group should have serious bid aspirations in 2025, and the Midwest Power League will be an important early litmus test.

Thayer-Mencke is ready for the big stage. This lefty opposite has been on our radar for a while after she posted some of Nebraska's best freshman numbers with Fort Calhoun in 2023. She followed that up with an outstanding sophomore campaign highlighted by over three kills per set on a 0.284 clip. Thayer-Mencke now adds her lethal swing to a [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 16 Synergy lineup with plenty of high-octane options. Prepare for a fascinating 2025 journey.

As stated previously, the Midwest Power League will provide an excellent glimpse into the overall depth at Nebraska Elite. Sanmann represents Nebraska Elite 16-2 and was a top performer at many of the team's qualifier stops last spring. This dynamic outside hitter has a knack for tooling the block and finding open spots with off-speed shots. Sanmann also churns out remarkably consistent first contacts, allowing her fellow attackers to flourish.

16 Synergy is not the only [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] squad with a vast infusion of new faces for the 2025 season. Scribner joins a wealth of additions to the [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 16 Black lineup and will help bolster the team's strong frontcourt. This physical athlete is building off a triple-digit-kill campaign with Lincoln Northeast and joins a few of her high school teammates for the 2025 club season. Scribner is an eager terminator in front of the setter and should see plenty of opportunities to score this weekend.

Once again, we have a high-impact 2027 athlete playing up a year with [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs']' championship squad. Porter was an all-AAU performer when she led [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 16 Navy to last year's 16 Club title in Orlando. Her sky-high contact point and route versatility made her an impossible attacker to defend on in-system plays. Porter has since earned valuable playing time with Millard North and has become accustomed to the rigors of Class A volleyball. She can apply that experience to another postseason push with 17 Navy.
