Coach Bruno's Uncovered Hidden Gems from Class of 2026

Volleyball is thriving and expanding every year, solidifying its place as one of the top youth sports! With countless new players and incredible talent blossoming across the United States, particularly in Texas, there are hidden gems ready to be discovered. As a Prep Dig scout, I'm excited to uncover these talents and help them shine brightly. Junior year is an exciting time filled with recruitment opportunities for volleyball players, and it's the Class of 2026's moment to reach for the stars and aim for the next level. I have encountered a few talented juniors who truly deserve the spotlight, and I am eager to support them on their journey to playing volleyball at an elevated level.    Kadia is a very mature and intelligent athlete, showcasing her skills with an impressive level of sophistication. She floats in the air when attacking the ball, exhibiting grace and agility that captivates onlookers. Her ability to read the game allows her to anticipate movements, making her very strategic with her shots, often placing the ball in hard-to-reach areas for her opponents. This unique combination of athleticism and mental acuity distinguishes her from her peers, enabling her to consistently outmaneuver her competition.     London "Triple Threat" King! She is so versatile and can be utilized anywhere on the court and execute, which is any coach's dream. She is primarily a setter, but her team also uses her in serve receive and as a right side hitter. I would like to take a moment to highlight her serve receive. Most setters struggle with serve receive due to not having to pass in it often. London executes serve receive very well, having multiple perfect passes that land right on the setter's head. She seems so confident in serve receive and looks at the server like she's begging for them to serve to her. When it comes to London's hitting, she has great height and a very quick swing. She swings at the highest point of her jump, ensuring that her attack gets over the block. When London is in her setting role, she is very good at moving her sets around to confuse and tire the blockers on the other side of the net.      Rama has got an awesome swing and some serious hang time, making every jump look effortless. When approaching the net, they make those quick closing steps look easy, which gives them a huge advantage. With those long arms and solid blocking skills, they know just how to press over the net to make it tough for opponents to score. Not only that, but they also have a great instinct for the game; they're fantastic at keeping an eye on the set and reading the flow of play. This combination of skills and awareness really sets them apart, making them a formidable player who can change the game in an instant. Whether it's a crucial point in a tight match or an opportunity to set up a teammate, Rama always seems to rise to the occasion, showcasing their talent and dedication on the court!     Breyawnna is an incredible athlete who truly inspires me. Despite being an undersized middle, she refuses to let her height hold her back from achieving greatness. Her vertical leap is impressively high, complemented by remarkable hang time and a power-packed swing. Her approach to the game is lightning-fast; she expertly attacks the ball before the block can even set, consistently scoring kills. When she goes for a hit, you can see her unleashing her entire body's strength, giving her strikes an impressive amount of power. Every time she moves toward the ball, her tremendous energy in both her approach and jump contributes to her fantastic vertical leap, making her a force to be reckoned with!     As we continue to uncover more hidden gems in the world of volleyball, it's essential to keep a watchful eye on the talented young ladies showcased in this article; their potential and dedication to the sport promise an exciting future that could elevate the game to new heights and inspire the next generation of players.
