The 2027 Rankings have been updated!

This fall was the start of what will be a huge year for the Class of 2027. Many of the classes top prospects emerged as big power players in the high school space and proved to be game chagers in their respective programs. Exiting the fall, and entering the winter, this marks the beginning of a huge recruiting year for the class. A mere six months and 15 days stand between these players and the opening of the all important June 15th date.

[player_tooltip player_id='442995' first='Marlie' last='Smith'] - Clarkston/Legacy

This setter is the epitome of what it means to be a DAWG on the court. A coaches' kid at it's finest, [player_tooltip player_id='442995' first='Marlie' last='Smith'] is one of the most well-rounded and most disciplined players in this class. Her 2024 included a national championship run, while on a freshly acquired bum ankle and an extraordinary fall with Clarkston. She's got a few extra weapons in her arsenal going into club season which could make a huge impact on her squads repeat hopes.

[player_tooltip player_id='454358' first='Lily' last='Tripi'] - Eisenhower/Michigan Elite

2025 is looking to be a big year for this burgeoning power player. In 2023, [player_tooltip player_id='454358' first='Lily' last='Tripi'] had to undergo surgery that would sideline her from all of her freshman high school season and leave her working her way back to 100% in club. This past fall, we got a glimpse of what Tripi could really do at a high level. At 6'1, Tripi can become such a physical presence on the court and it's hard to say where her ceiling is due to how much better she gets with every competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='471313' first='Nellie' last='Alves'] - Novi/L2

[player_tooltip player_id='471313' first='Nellie' last='Alves'] was looking real exciting coming out of the club season this past summer. She can set, she can hit; she can play a variety of roles when needed at a real nice efficiency. Running the offense for Novi this fall, Alves continued to shine and looks to be poised for an even bigger club season this winter.

Names to Know

[player_tooltip player_id='454362' first='Karlie' last='Smith'] - Saline/L2

With an injury to the squad, [player_tooltip player_id='454362' first='Karlie' last='Smith'] did more than step up to the plate for Saline this fall. Despite her undersized stature suggests, Smith plays the game so big. She's a hustler on the court and shows signs of some elite future leadership. I was a big fan of her speed and developing location.

[player_tooltip player_id='486863' first='Lindsey' last='Schwegman'] - Orchard Lake St. Mary/High Performance

Orchard Lake St Mary was one of those dangerous teams this year. In their first year in Division 1, [player_tooltip player_id='486863' first='Lindsey' last='Schwegman'] found herself at the core of the offense and did a pretty good job. She is another player that could find herself in a big year, development-wise, in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'] - Divine Child/Michigan Elite

It's hard to say that last spring was a breakout for [player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'], because I truly believe her best is yet to come. And that's super exciting for Divine Child and Michigan Elite alike. Another one of those undersized dandies, Ryan just has such a nice feel for the offense and does a great job at giving a fair distribution.
