More Pin Hitters to Follow in Nebraska 2028 Watch List

Several athletes have already made a splash on the high school stage, while others are due for a breakout this spring. She led the GI Northwest offense with nearly four kills per set and put the Vikings on the cusp of a Class B tournament appearance. Her heavy heat from the left pin left opposing defenses with little chance to make a positive touch, and Janulewicz remained a scoring threat in the back row. This Elkhorn North prospect had a strong showing at last month's Top 250 Expo and exhibited everything you'd want from an outside hitter. Morgan found seams in the block and was particularly effective with her off-speed shots. We have her listed as an outside-middle hybrid, and she did a little of everything along the net for the Huskies. She led the team in hitting efficiency last fall while terminating at various tempos and locations. Staehr was the subject of a few features as we got a brief look at Nebraska's 2028s at USAV Nationals. Her South Central NE squad wielded some impressive physicality at that event, and Staehr was the do-everything player who glued everything together. She has a wicked arm swing in the frontcourt but can also take control of her team's defense along the end line. Walter is part of the large group of past showcase standouts who landed on our radar last summer. She made full use of her range and high contact point on the right pin and was an effective attacking option in six-on-six drills. Walter's upcoming tenure with Nebraska Elite 15-1 will provide further examples of her extraordinary potential. Wellensiek broke into the Johnson County Central starting lineup this fall and put down over two kills per set on a 0.200 clip. Her emergence is especially impressive given the stout group of veteran pin hitters already on the JCC roster.
