Wellensiek remains a do-everything setter for Premier Nebraska 16 Gold. Her consistency, pace, and effort do not waver whether 16 Gold rolls out a one-setter offense or a 6-2. This Johnson County Central standout piled up accolades and milestones on the small-town scene last fall, but her reach extends far beyond the rural confines of JCC. Wellensiek opened up massive seams for her hitters at MEQ and was not afraid to dig heat down the line. Ball control gains have raised the standard for USAV’s defending 15 USA champs.
