Productive Right Sides at Tour of Texas 15 Invitational Division

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most competitive and anticipated tournaments in the entire club volleyball season in the state of Texas, the Tour of Texas kicked off last weekend in Houston, with three days of action that reunited each of the top teams in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Held across seven facilities in the Houston area, the event reunited over 400 teams, spread across its ten divisions. One of the tallest players on the field, she was a force at the net, appearing well on both sides of the ball. Floyd's blocking was extremely productive as she combined her impressive length with great reading and strong mobility at the net. Her offense also brought a lot to the team as, besides being capable of hitting over the top of opposing blockers, she also did an excellent job of finding angles to hit around them with her skilled left arm. Because of their fluid playing system, Alamo had a number of players appearing on the left, but she was by far the most productive and impressive of them. A lefty, Pease combined power and precision in her swings and did a terrific job offensively, scoring at a good rate and making very few errors. She was easily one of the most explosive and powerful players in the division, putting a lot of pressure on her swings every time she went up at the net. Edmond has all the tools to be a volume scorer at the next level as she gets off the floor extremely well, has a lot of firepower in her right arm and the right mentality to carry any team's offensive load as she's unafraid to keep swinging, but is also very smart with her shot selection. This team has a clear leading scorer in star outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='586653' first='Maya' last='Ogbogu'], but Clegg played a major role for them on the right. She served as a secondary scoring option for the team and thrived in that role, playing with great consistency. A six-footer, she's very long and uses every inch of her body to make contact with the ball at the highest possible point. Clegg's shot selection was also excellent as she was very consistent and kept her errors very low, even in out-of-system plays.
