Sensational Setters from AR, Class of 2026 and 2027

Prep Dig Arkansas is officially underway ready to highlight players on the radar. The state of Arkansas has a strong group of setters that have paved the way for competitive volleyball. The best part of this group of setters is how confidently they establish themselves on and off the court. Setters are the backbone to every solid team; all eyes are on them when they make each play a big play. Read more on the setters that have stood out to me the most in this first part of club volleyball season:    [player_tooltip player_id='535392' first='Mecate' last='Marsh'] is truly an inspirational player who quickly overcame the challenges that arose post-surgery. Seven weeks post operation and she is back in game, ready to compete with her team. Mecate is a 5-1 rotation setter with impressive stats her previous season at Cabot High School; named #1 in 6A Central and #6 in Arkansas with 896 assists and #5 in 6A Central with 256 digs. She is currently on 501's 17.1 team along with Macy, another phenomenal setter. Mecate has beautiful, consistent hands with a nasty setter dump. She is able to intuitively connect with her pins and middle hitters. She is not a setter you want to miss out on!     This setter is extremely versatile and has the ability to think on her feet. Sydney is a setter for the Elite Volleyball Academy 17 Elite and Little Rock Central High School, quarterfinal appearance in the 2024 6A state tournament. Sydney was ranked 7th in 6A Central and 34th in Arkansas for assists, totaling 358. She is able to seamlessly use her steady force to strategically lead plays, every single ball. She is a player with a great attitude who is eager to constantly learn and excel in her position. Her teammates rely on her for strategic execution in tight games.     Macy Adametz is a sophomore at Pulaski Academy and part of 501's 17.1 team. She played at Little Rock Christian Academy prior to her arrival at PA and is a great addition to the [program_tooltip program_id='581540' first='501' last='Volley'] club team. She brings a new toolset of game intelligence to her team. Macy knows how to play under pressure, maintaining a cool, calm, and collected attitude exhibiting signs of leadership by example. Macy is a true 5-1 setter, along with her teammate Mecate. She knows how to dominate the court the entire match. She can turn any pass into a fast tempo offense. Macy is a triple threat in all skill aspects.     Avery is a setter on 16 Mizuno at Ozark Juniors and Van Buren High School. She is a top setter for NW Arkansas and shows exceptional leadership skills on the court. When watching her team previously this season, I was very impressed by Avery's ability to keep a poised mentality throughout a very intense match. Her strength as a setter is an advantage for the hitters on her team, setting them up for success each play.
