EVA Uncommitted Rising Stars Spotlight: 17’s/18’s

Club director Tanja Eckart has an eye for talent and made some very talented teams this year. She is someone who can get placed into any position and execute her role really well. She often swings on the outside or right side pin and does a great job at snapping her wrist and hitting the deep corners. She is also a pretty crafty setter, setting up a very effective offense for her team. She puts up a massive block and does a really great job at closing the block with the pins. She has a high contact point which helps her swing above the block. Insley can swing from anywhere in the front row as she has previously played middle blocker in club but played on the outside pin for school ball. She does a great job at swinging thumb up to swing line. She also does a pretty great job at swinging high above the block and hitting deep into the court. She hits a very well sharp cross shot, giving the opposing defense very little time to react. She is also pretty good in the back row, picking up tips and digging hard driven attacks. Lease and her setter [player_tooltip player_id='763428' first='Mia' last='Adams'] have built a great connection this last club season and will be a dangerous duo this season. Lease runs many different plays out of the middle which has given her the ability to fool the opposing block. She is a lefty attacker her swings on both the outside and right side pin. She does a great job at swinging into the deep corners and going high off hands. Her back row is pretty impressive as well as she does a great job at reading the attackers and putting herself in the right position. She is a player that puts her body on the line to keep the ball in play. Whether it is a tip, roll shot, or hard driven attack - Robinson makes it look easy. Her serve receive is also really impressive and does a great job at keeping her team in system. Her out of system sets to the pins are also pretty good.
