One of the biggest tourney's in the state of Texas usually brings together the best competition that there is to offer from all over and is called the Tour of Texas. The level of competition is so great that teams from all over the country fly in for it. There are teams from Georgia, California, Illinois and Utah who are slated to join the best in Texas. The level of talent on the courts was phenomenal and we were in person to cover the event. Let's take a look at who stood out for these awesome teams

Taylor is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because I have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Hebron High School and plays club for the Dallas Skyline volleyball program. When I first witnessed this young lady's vertical in person I was star struck and you will be too when you see her fly. Seeing her soar above the net and opposing blockers is something that every college coach in the country will be talking about all next month. I certainly took tons of notes while I watched her perform and have been trying to decide where she ranks amongst all the stars in this class. Offensively she has every tool in her bag and can be a threat from any location on the court at any time. Armed with a lightning quick arm swing and the ability to turn on the ball and thread the needle through or around the block to score, she is one of the most dangerous weapons in her grad class. She is definitely someone who will be discussed in many college recruiting circles and the scary part about it all is that she is only a freshman and will get even better with age and experience.

Olivia is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because I have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Allen High School and plays club for the [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] volleyball program. Being on a high level team is not for the weak-minded player. Miss Kitur showed me a lot by being the type of player who doesn't back down and is ready for any battle. One solid aspect about her ability to attack at a high level is how she uses a wide open hand to contact the ball with as much surface area as possible in order to direct it to wherever she wants to. As an attacker she has the power to tool the block out of bounds or bring the heat around the blockers for a score. I also loved that she has a great contact on the ball with her platform to be a passer if needed. Another great aspect that stood out to me was how she was able to adjust her footwork when the set died inside and still be able to aggressively attack the ball and keep the pressure on the opposition. On a team full of stars, we think she is someone that college coaches will love based on her potential for the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='528761' first='Taylor' last='Toomay'] [2028] 6-0 Outside (HS: Highland Park/Club: Excel/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Taylor is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because I have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Highland Park and plays club for the Excel volleyball program. When I watched Taylor play at the Tour I loved how she handled her role. Although there are tons of stars on her squad, she is undoubtedly the main weapon at the net. While some players may fold under pressure or not be able to perform when the lights shine the brightest, Miss Toomay goes about her business and gets the job done for her team. Her lengthy and strong frame is exactly what college coaches will see at first glance, but once they watch her play, they will find a very skilled left side pin who is lethal above the net. Although I have seen her earn a Top Performer award at one of our showcases before, I was eager to see her compete in a match. I was blown away with her production against some top tier competition. In a grad class that has some legit outside hitters who will be ranked very high, Miss Toomay is proving a name for herself. I have a very high grade on her from this first tournament and am looking forward to watching her throughout the season. I strongly encourage every college coach to take a look at her as well.
