Meet the California Stars Heading to the Elite UA Next Camp

Not all volleyball camps are created equal. The Under Armour Next Invite-Only Camp Series offers an elite platform for exposure, with top athletes competing for the coveted Golden Ticket—a chance to play in the prestigious All-America game in Orlando, FL, an event I have personally covered and can attest to as truly one of a kind.   Once again, PrepDig has been granted exclusive access to the invite-only Kansas City camp, held just before one of the nation's most competitive tournaments—the 2025 Triple Crown NIT. With over 550 teams, 7,000 players, and 500 college coaches in attendance, this event is a powerhouse for recruiting.   In this article, we spotlight the California athletes set to showcase their skills. Selected by a prestigious committee that includes Ziva Recek Blackmon and Mike Lingenfelter, she knows this recognition is a reflection of her hard work. Competing at the highest level alongside elite athletes is something she embraces, believing that true growth happens when surrounded by top-tier talent. Her high school and club coach, Garren Allala, often reminds his players that "iron sharpens iron," and she views this camp as the ultimate environment to challenge herself.   Last year, Nemee attended the UA Next Middle School Camp at Nationals, where she trained under the legendary Coach Kiy—someone she had long admired. Meeting influential figures like Mike Lingenfelter and earning the UA Next Middle School MVP award from him was a defining moment in her journey. Now, as Kansas City prepares to become the epicenter of the volleyball world, she's ready to showcase her skills. Understanding the importance of proactive outreach, she has already contacted nearly 100 college coaches, ensuring they know she will be competing.   With experience in high-intensity, position-specific training at the Middle School Camp, Nemee anticipates an even greater level of competition at the high school level. As the only freshman on her varsity team this past season, she thrived in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment against older and more experienced athletes.
