Here's another one for the 2028s.

Recently, we discussed a group of 2028 middle blockers who made the most of their time on the national stage. But, of course, that wasn't the only position group with Nebraska standouts from this up-and-coming class of athletes.

We're back for more. These Nebraska 2028s proved themselves on one of club volleyball's biggest stages, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for this group.

[program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Elite is bringing plenty of six-rotation firepower from the outside hitter spot. Cada earned a spot on our 2028 watch list after her big freshman debut with Bishop Neumann, and her momentum has persisted on the club side. She's an all-around scorer for 15 Elite and an incredible defensive asset in the back row. Cada's diverse skillset mirrors so many other successful VCN pin attackers, and her best is yet to come.

Sumner finds any way possible to influence VCN 15 Elite's balanced operation. She has a knack for finding the hot hand and can deliver up-tempo sets to either pin. This Elkhorn South freshman was also an impactful server during Triple Crown NIT and gave opposing passers trouble with her tough floaters. No matter which system 15 Elite deploys in a given match, Sumner will remain a steady contributor and valuable on-court leader.

Wallraff's adaptability has been her best contribution to [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 16 Synergy's quick start. 16 Synergy spent the first few weeks of the season experimenting with several different lineups, and Wallraff was keen to make an impact no matter which starting rotation prevailed. Her gritty defense and infectious energy lifted 16 Synergy to an Open championship at NIT--a huge stepping stone for a team with sky-high expectations. Wallraff and her squad are ready to keep rolling into qualifiers.

Premier Nebraska 15 Gold's roster is full of versatile frontcourt athletes, but Callahan's influence is not limited to her net play. Indeed, this Omaha Skutt Catholic freshman has the range and court vision to be a lethal force on the left side. But we also can't forget about Callahan's poise in the backcourt, particularly as a middle-back defender. She produced some clutch digs along the end line and meshed well with any of her teammates in the back row. Six-rotation stars are already emerging in the Class of 2028.

While we're discussing Premier Nebraska 15 Gold's ball control, let's give a shoutout to one of the setters helping to run the show. Christiansen showcased her full array of skills in Kansas City, and her consistent setting was a big part of 15 Gold's efficient offense. This agile setter doesn't need a perfect pass to keep her attackers in a rhythm. Christiansen can deliver dimes from off the net and is not afraid to force the middle when defenders aren't expecting it. NIT was a milestone outing that will place Christiansen on our next 2028 watch list.

Solomon adds to the list of Premier Nebraska setters, but you have to climb an age group to find her. This dynamic 2028 athlete has become the lifeblood of Premier Nebraska 16 Black's lineup, and Solomon's impact is two-fold. She runs the offense from the back row but quickly transitions to a frontcourt opposite at the net. 16 Black will lean on Solomon's electric right arm while she's in the frontcourt, transforming this smooth setter into a go-to attacker. You can't ask for much more from an athlete playing up a year.

Finally, we're bringing the spotlight to Premier Nebraska 15 Black. This group battled through an absolute gauntlet of talented teams in Kansas City, allowing players like Scheef to raise their game even further. This outside hitter's explosiveness is hard to ignore when you watch 15 Black's highlight tape. Scheef gets off the floor in a hurry and can adjust to whatever set she's given on the left side. She has also become a reliable contributor to the team's serve-receive, which progressively improved throughout NIT. 15 Black will be a threat heading into the USAV grind.
