However, Callahan has distinguished herself further as an elite defender who makes first touches look effortless. She absorbed tremendous service pressure at the Mideast Qualifier and set the stage for 16 Gold’s Open berth in Indianapolis. This summer’s return trip to the Hoosier State will be a big one.

Callahan is one of those success stories, and her influence with 15 Gold has escalated throughout 2025. She is a stout passer and has provided a constant source of energy through 15 Gold’s challenging qualifier slate. More breakthroughs are on the way for Callahan.

Premier Nebraska 15 Gold’s roster is full of versatile frontcourt athletes, but Callahan’s influence is not limited to her net play. Indeed, this Omaha Skutt Catholic freshman has the range and court vision to be a lethal force on the left side. But we also can’t forget about Callahan’s poise in the backcourt, particularly as a middle-back defender. She produced some clutch digs along the end line and meshed well with any of her teammates in the back row. Six-rotation stars are already emerging in the Class of 2028.

Omaha Skutt Catholic was well represented at last year’s La Vista showcases. Callahan made an instant impression among the 2028s and was a terminal force on both pins. This is a name to keep in mind as we pivot toward the club season, as Callahan will represent a Premier Nebraska 15 Gold squad with plenty of potential. Aside from leaning on Callahan’s quick right arm, 15 Gold will also be eager to wield this pin hitter’s sharp defensive skills in the middle-back area.
