Uncommitted 2026 Gems Coaches Should Keep an Eye On

<p>Nevada's Class of 2026 boasts some standout talent that would make excellent additions to a college roster. These athletes will be competing at the upcoming Red Rock Rave, offering a great opportunity for coaches to see them in person. </p>   <p>Here are a few juniors on our radar—make sure they're on yours too before they commit, which could be sooner rather than later.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Absolutely love seeing this lefty oppo in action! After watching her during the fall high school season, I immediately knew she was a prospect who should definitely be in the conversation when it comes to the top right-side hitters in the state. Greer is an excellent blocker and can put the ball straight down when attacking high balls or advanced plays. In club, she gets a chance to flex her versatility by playing multiple positions on front row, consistently scoring in either position. The junior, standing at 6'0”, uses her wingspan to reach high and hit over most blocks. Her arm swing is fast, and she is racking up more kills than ever. She isn't just on the rise; she has arrived as a top middle (and occasional pin) to know in Nevada. She's a total force on the outside, with a powerful swing that makes it nearly impossible for the opposing team to return. Whether she's hitting straight down the line or crushing the ball at a tough angle, her quick snap keeps defenders guessing and always on edge. Tayla is also a top contributor on her club team, where she continues to sharpen her skills and take her game to the next level. In addition to her powerful attacks, she is a strong blocker and also has the IQ to mix in timely tips that find open spots in the opponent's defense. Her team competes at the open level, meaning she faces some of the toughest competition in the nation and she manages to get in a significant amount of kills and blocks. This solidifies her as a player to know for high-level college programs. Her reading skills and quick reactions make her an essential part of the defense. On serve receive, she passes with accuracy and instinctively moves to cover her hitters. Her ability to absorb tough hits when digging is a game-changer, allowing her to keep the ball in play and set her team up for success. Her extra reps in the gym are paying off, leading to quality game-time experience.
