The Heart of America competed in their final play date for the 15s age group this past Saturday in Kansas City, Kansas. [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 15-1 walked away with the title, while [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] 15-1 finished second. I was able to grab some notes of some players who caught my eye throughout the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='778345' first='Mia' last='Roberts'] - Setter - Invasion 15 Black

I saw Roberts early in the day and thought she did a good job of setting the tone for an Invasion team that came out firing on all cylinders and grabbing the first set over [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last='']. She made timely dumps and had great decision-making in the morning.

[player_tooltip player_id='778350' first='Elaina' last='Noaese'] - OH - Invasion 15 Black

Noaese was impactful during the same match finding ways to score between [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']ing through a block and taking something off to find open spots on the floor.

Hayden Houseworth - OH - [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 15-1

Houseworth was instrumental in helping [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] come back and take the next two sets in their opening match. She mixed up her shots and did a good job finding the holes in the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='778352' first='Sophie' last='Gregory'] - OH - Summit Volleyball 15 National

I was impressed with Summit Volleyball outside [player_tooltip player_id='778352' first='Sophie' last='Gregory'] the few times I saw her during the day. She is a player who has no problems taking the big swings when her team needs a point.

Sereen AlAbsi - OH - Mavs KC 15-2

This Mavs team has a couple of outsides who can trade off in making noise in a match. The one I saw AlAbsi was the go-to point-getter in a close match with their sister Mavs club. She was able to find the floor in some key moments.

Adaley Handlin and Peyton Bonnel - S - Mavs KC 15-2

Handlin and Bonnel did a tremendous job of running the offense in the 6-2 system. There is no drop-off when one exits the game as they both are solid in ball placement and effective defensively from the back row.

[player_tooltip player_id='694786' first='Ada' last='Grzella-Skibiski'] - OH - 573 Missouri Jrs.

Skibiski has a swagger about her I enjoy. She expects to score every time she takes a swing from either pin. She brings the [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] behind her swing and I loved her ability to take something off and take it down the line. She's a player to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='730130' first='Landrie' last='Vogt'] and [player_tooltip player_id='729539' first='Payton' last='Germann'] - S - 573 Missouri Jrs.

Another setter tandem but these two also make things happen offensively as attackers when they rotate to the front row. They are a perfect tandem and have intangibles that make their team better.

[player_tooltip player_id='778354' first='Rowan' last='Buechter'] - MB - 573 Missouri Jrs.

Buechler was making things happen both offensively and defensively in the last match of the day. She was fierce in the blocking game sending back numerous balls from the attack. She also had timely kills on the offensive end when her team needed a big kill.

[player_tooltip player_id='612171' first='Peyton' last='Creed'] - S - 417 Mo Juniors

Creed is a joy to watch. A very confident setter on the court displayed a good head on her shoulders in a competitive match. You can see the leadership skills she carries and will see her stock increase in this class in the setter position.

[player_tooltip player_id='710203' first='Zoey' last='Browning'] - OH - 417 Mo Juniors

On the outside, I liked how Browning carried herself when things weren't going well. You couldn't tell from her play and aggressiveness if she committed an error...she kept trying to find ways to score. I look forward to continuing to follow her play over the years.
